Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of attending a book signing for the new cookbook Taste This by Gina von Esmarch, a fourth generation San Franciscan. It was a lovely evening. Fantastic food (all recipes from the book) and great company. I’m excited to share Gina and her book with you!
Taste This is a great cookbook. Easy to read. Simple but delicious recipes. I will definitely be using this book…both for entertaining and everyday eating.
My favorites of the evening were the Red Grapes & Red Onions (with Goat Cheese)…and Gina herself! She is a delight! I love meeting fellow moms who are doing cool things.

The food looks scrumptious and – again – the photos are incredible. Does the cookbook have lots of photos too…? I’m not a big fan of cookbooks that are all text.

and YES…this cookbook has a photo for every recipe. love that…it’s always nice to know what the food SHOULD look like. the layout is really clean and easy to read.

I bought Taste This! for Christmas and gave it to my mom. We love the Linguine & Brie pasta, so good. Can’t wait to make the peanut butter cookie bombs and head to the gym

I made the Red Grapes & Red Onions dish last night and we all absolutely LOVED it. Mine looked a bit heavier on the onions than grapes compared to the dish in your photo (which looks GORGEOUS by the way, as all your photos are — and I also love the Canon 50 mm f/1.8 lens!), so maybe next time I’ll add more grapes (there will definitely be a next time for this recipe).
