The morning buns I had at the Berkeley Bowl were from Semifreddi’s bakery, which has 3 locations in the Bay Area…none of which are close to where we live. But I just discovered our Trader Joe’s carries some of their products. Yippee! This cinnamon twist bread made for some mighty delicious french toast. Oh man, I just can’t resist quality baked goods. It’s a problem.
I’m planning on making lots of salads as side dishes this week…I think I’ll pick up some of that spring mix salad from Costco. Love that stuff!
MONDAY:
- Leftovers
TUESDAY:
- Pizza (don’t know what kind yet)
WEDNESDAY:
- Cannelloni (something I’ve never made but always love in restaurants…we’ll see what I come up with!)
THURSDAY:

FRIDAY:
- Hot dogs (little Cate loves these, so I throw her a bone occasionally!)
SATURDAY:
- Eat out
SUNDAY:
- Orange Chicken
- Brown rice & Veggie

Good luck with making those Cannelloni. I made some last week and I almost quit because it was such a mess and took a lot of patience to fill them. But maybe it is also because i don’t know how to use my kitchen tools wisely.
Would love to hear how yours turn out and how you fill them, which kitchen tool you use to make this an enjoyable task.
Thanks.. and by the way.. i am a regular reader of your blog from Switzerland

I have no menu for this week, I am sick as a dog and we are just surviving. I thought I would give you a hit for your cannelloni. If you use sheets and roll, use much less filling then you think you should, this way it actually stays in the wrap. My favorite thing to use if you use the tube pasta is a pastry bag. Or you can fill a ziplock with the filling and snip the corner. It works great and there is no mess.
Cannelloni.. YUMMY! Good luck and let me know how you stuffed them. I tried to make them once, but failed and ended up with a sloppy version of lasagna. My menu:
S-turkey tacos
M-salads
T-hot dogs (my huby LOVES them just like Cate)
W-turkey kabobs with brown rice
Th-miso fish with grilled veggies
F-out
S-leftovers
Sick kids slowed me down…sorry

as always, THANK YOU FOR YOUR MENUS!
and thanks for the canneloni tips…will definitely report on how I do!
