Hope it doesn't happen to you! Your photos are gorgeous and all of the improvements sound really nice. Now I want one for the apartment I hope to rent someday. I think this would probably be the best way to clean sensitive wood flooring. I couldn't imagine ammonia would be good on the finish, but I'm no cleaning expert. Swiffer SHOULD pay you for this post! I agree - ammonia and water can work great as well! I cleaned my kitchen today with ammonia and water.. and it worked great. The initial cost of these swiffers aren't bad (I used to use one in my old apartment), but then it is like razor blades... the refills get expensive.
