I’m Home…Phew!

Hello food friends! I’m home after a month of traveling. It’s nice to be home, but it was a FANTASTIC trip for so many reasons. The good news for you is I might actually start cooking again!

Doesn’t this pizza look good? That’s because it is! Bertucci’s margherita pizza is one of my favorites anywhere. I’m so glad I got to have some on this last trip…it’s been years! If you want to see another picture of the same pizza, be sure to check out my guest post on Make and Takes today, Meal Planning Tip: Be a Restaurant Copycat. I’m sure you all have good ideas to add to the post, so go read it and comment!

  1. Mmmmm. My favorite both to order and to mimic is the Silano from Bertuccis. I have them add caramelized onions because I like it better that way when I make it at home.

  2. I have done the same taking menus home for inspiration. I have also checked out restaraunt websites both chains and individually owned. Some restaraunts will post seasonal recipes or most requested recipes. I have also requested recipes from the waitstaff and it usually is a 50/50 chance I’ll get it, but I try.

  3. I’ve never thought about asking the restaurant directly for the recipe – great idea!

I’m going to have to look up Silano on the bertucci’s menu…yum!
