I bought a pizza stone last night. And a pizza peel. I am SO excited. I can’t wait to try them out, so we are definitely having homemade pizza this week! Thanks to Lindsay for convincing me to get a stone and a peel. Okay, so she didn’t have to do much convincing, I was easily sold.

Okey dokey, pokies, please share your menu for the week! For those of you who haven’t been planning or posting…I’ll cut you some slack, it’s summertime. But come September it’s back to the grindstone, ya hear?

Hello! My name is Jane Maynard and you've landed yourself on my blog, This Week for Dinner™. Every Sunday I share a weekly menu...and then count on you to share your own! You'll also find other deliciousness that I hope you'll enjoy!

Lucky lucky! I have a pizza stone but in order to properly use it, you really do need the pizza peel too! Have fun making homemade pizza, it’s the best.
I have been wanting a pizza peel but have had the hardest time finding one, so thank you for the link!
My dad is coming to town this week, so we are playing it by ear. We usually eat out once with him so we’ll figure that out when he gets here. But I do have a few meal ideas for this week.

The rest we’ll decide on later.
I’m getting back into the swing of planning meals now that we are adjusting to life with our new little guy!

Tues: Grilled chicken with cranberry apple chutney, squash
Wed: Tortellini with fresh pesto and veggies

Hello All~Second week in a row posting/planning my menu! This is so beneficial for us! Although last week my 2 mo old wanted to be held a lot more which made cooking a challenge, so some items are back on the menu this week:
Mon: flounder + salad
Tues: chicken fajitas
Wed: brian’s ceasar salad + homemade bread
Thurs: quinoa salad + turkey sands
Fri: go to CT
Jane best of luck with your stone + peel!!! It took a lot of practice, flipping my wrist, to work the peel just right.
Hey everyone. I’ll be starting school again pretty soon, so I know I’ll be changing what I’ll be cooking, and perhaps use the slow cooker more often, as we want to be a bit more budget minded, until then, I am actually stretching the bucks this week, as we most things, just need to pick up a few perishables.

We love our pizza stone, we’ve had it for at least 8 years and it just gets better with age. It kind-of gets ‘seasoned’ after cooking many pizzas over time (and re-heating, it’s terrific for keeping crusts crisp). Enjoy!
I am traveling for work this week but did prep ahead – so hopefully my family is having:
Mon-homemade mac & cheese, green beans
Tues-leftover meatballs made into meatball subs (sorry, wish you were here!), salad
Weds-inlaws paying a visit and bringing food
Thurs-leftover mac & cheese, broccoli
Fri-I’m back! We plan to pick up some yummy fried chicken and have it with corn on the cob.
Saturday / Sunday – lasagna and a pizza at some point
Pizza is on the menu for us this week too. I have to say though I like the concept of the Pizza peel, we just don’t use ours much. We do have two pizza stones so we can do two pizza’s at once and have leftovers for lunch.
