When I first wrote about grilling vegetables, someone mentioned asparagus was one of their favorites to grill. I can see why…I tried it, and the asparagus cooked so nicely on the grill, resulting in a really great texture. I still think roasting asparagus in the oven is a great way to do it…but grilling is now my favorite method for this vegetable.

Did I mention the girls INHALED their asparagus? And mine? And Nate’s? I think Nate & I only got to eat a few spears in the end!
Believe it or not, you’re going to have to endure another grilled vegetable post…I ordered a grilling basket and it arrived this week! My next veggie venture on the grill? Broccoli!

that’s how I did it too…a little olive oil and seasoned salt before I grilled it, YUM! balsamic vinegar sounds great…mmmm…

The very same astonishing thing happened at my house! Grilled the asparagus (with a little olive oil and sea salt), which I figured the kids would reject wholeheartedly, and they ate it up so fast I didn’t get any. They said it tasted like asparagus fries. Little piglets. Guess I’ll be doing two bunches next time!

Thanks Jane! I just tried your roasted asparagus and I almost ate the whole bunch at once. I bet I can even sneak some onto my husband’s plate. It made me feel a little better about the boxed mac and cheese on the side!

I love grilled aspargus…. So amazing! I love when it get’s a little charred! I drizzle Basalmic reduction glaze i but at the grocery store, so good! Grilled broccoli is really to die for, my fav!
