Week 154 Menu

Happy New Year!  I think I’m going to start this year with a tray of fresh baked cookies. I just can’t help myself. Good thing I didn’t make any “no more cookies” resolutions.

fresh baked cookies web

This week I’ll have a few resolution-themed posts as well as another delectable Swedish recipe. We’re starting the new year off right!

MONDAY:
- Chicken salad sandwiches
- Guacamole and chips

TUESDAY:
- Pasta Primavera (recipe to come)

WEDNESDAY:
- A dinner salad of some sort…I’m going to browse the Croutons menu again, the BBQ chicken salad I copied from them was great!

THURSDAY:
- Leftovers

FRIDAY:
- Breakfast for dinner (either waffles or a fritata)

SATURDAY:
- Eat out

SUNDAY:
- Shepherd’s Pie

Okay, folks. Vacation is OVER. Get your menu plans together and please share! Remember, ALL menus are welcome, fancy or plain!

I’ve already seen a small difference in saving money and losing weight (lost two pounds so far). I’m excited to do more and share ideas with people like you.

    Keep up the great work!

*If anyone is interested, I have the best and easiest recipe for pot roast. Just take a 2-3 pound pot roast and place in a large crockpot (slow cooker). Add 2 packages of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, 1 Bottle of Beer (I use dark beer), 1 Tablespoon Quick Cooking Tapioca, a few shakes of Tabasco sauce…and I add a cup or two of beef broth (depending upon the size of the roast and how much gravy I want to make). Cook on high for 10 hours and enjoy!
