Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Look what I found at our local bagel shop today…

I love Posh Bagel in Menlo Park (the best bagels I’ve found in the Menlo Park/Palo Alto area, by the way – and this is saying a lot coming from a New Jersey girl). Now I love Posh Bagel even more for making these CRAZY green bagels. Seriously, that is GREEN. I thought my 5-year-old would jump for joy when she saw them. Nope, all she said was, “Yuck.” So much for fun green food.
Speaking of green food, when I planned my menu this week, I totally spaced it on St. Patrick’s Day. So, here’s our real menu for today!
- Green Chicken Piccata
- Green Mashed Potatoes
- Asparagus
- Green Lemon Bars
Feel free to share your own green food ideas! Hope you have a grand green day!

Fun!! I think I’m going to try my hand at making green pretzels this afternoon!

I got excited when you mentioned Menlo Park, being a Jersey Girl too. The green bagels are cute, glad that’s only food coloring and not stale bread! LOL! I made a good old-fashioned boiled dinner to celebrate St. Paddys day… Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes! But I love your ideas… may have to keep these recipes handy for next year! Thanks! I’m planning on making your recipe for swedish meatballs soon, now that I’ve found Lingonberry jelly.

I’m making Irish Soda Bread to go along with some homemade chicken alphabet soup. I picked up some mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert LOL

Today, we had cereal with green milk, sliced green bananas, bagels with green cream cheese and will be eating traditional corned beef tonight. I found that the food coloring was a surprise hit with everyone!
Those bagels look really cool, though!

I made two Irish Soda Breads last night- one low fat, one regular. Both delicious in their own ways!
My husband brought home green bagels on Saturday and my kids REFUSED to consume them!! Then today I picked them up at school and all they could talk about was how tasty the green bagels were!!

We had our traditional reubens. My 6 year old and 3 year old scarfed them down. I also gave them green apple juice and a pint of Guiness for my hubby and I.
