Week 205 Menu

I can’t believe Christmas is over. Which means we can dig in and eat the decorations on our gingerbread house! (And before you start thinking I’m some amazing confectioner creating little people out of sugar, we just used a cute little kit from Trader Joe’s πŸ˜‰ )

The girls are still playing non-stop with their new toys, completely uninterested in food. I’m still in vacation mode. Meal planning is about the last thing I feel like doing right now…but we’ve gotta eat!

MONDAY:
– Leftovers

TUESDAY:
– I have a hankering forΒ pulled pork
– Don’t forget to top with coleslaw – yum!

WEDNESDAY:
– Spaghetti (I know, I know…soooo fancy)

THURSDAY:
– Leftovers

FRIDAY:
– New Year’s Eve! 7-Layer Dip, Artichoke Dip, Chicken Tenders, Oriental Chicken Salad are first to come to mind.
– Some sort of yummy treat. Maybe as simple as chocolate chip cookies, it’s been a while since I whipped up a batch!

SUNDAY:
– Leftovers and/or waffles

Please share your menu for the week! I know lots of us are in vacation mode…so if we don’t get a lot of menus up here this week, I’ll forgive you. But you better believe next week I’m going to be all over your case…it IS the New Year after all, a time to whip ourselves into shape…meal planning is a good place to start! πŸ˜‰

    • Shelly

Wow….I second that. What do you put in the Chipotle Ravioli and what to do put on them?

    • Heidi

Bonnie and Shelly – although I love to cook I also go to Dream Dinners and make up meals for the work week when the nights get hectic. The ravioli is plain cheese and the sauce is a yummy creamy, chipotle sauce with sundried tomatoes .

    • Jane Maynard

      dream dinners is great!!! πŸ™‚

    • MMMM…sounds yummy…I’m going to have to hunt down a recipe. I used to do Dream Dinners and Frozen in Thyme (an awesome Houston place). Loved it. Freezer meals SAVE us. Now I have 2 friends and myself in a freezer swap group. Each month we each make 3 copies of 3 meals, then meat and swap. We come home with 9 meals with 6 servings each for a $70 budget. It’s fabulous!! I feel chipotle Ravioli on the menu in coming months….

I can barely think a week ahead! πŸ™‚ I know some people do plan a month at a time, but that sort of raises my blood pressure… πŸ˜‰ but I have had people post monthly menus before, which is great! feel free to do so!

Yay for Trader Joe’s! Love the house.
I’m also very happy to hear you got yours at TJ’s because it seems the gingerbread houses over at Whole Foods are having some problems…..
