Week 210 Menu

EmailPinterest0Facebook2Twitter5Google+0StumbleUpon0

I’m not feeling great today, but Nate decided some fresh air and big ocean waves would do us all some good. We drove down to the coast and spent the morning watching giant waves crash against the shore. It was beautiful. And Nate was right, the walk out to Mavericks was pretty much the only time I didn’t feel sick today. Must have been the ocean air.

I love this shot of the boats on the harbor. It was a silvery, misty morning. And no, this photo is not in black and white. Pretty amazing.

Now that we’re home, time to snap back into real life and get our menu planned for the week!

MONDAY:
- Leftovers

TUESDAY:
- Soup (have some in the freezer)

WEDNESDAY:
- Chicken Parmesan
- Pasta with tomato sauce

THURSDAY:
- Kitchen Sink Quesadillas
- Chips and guacamole

FRIDAY:
- Leftovers

SATURDAY:
- Eat out

SUNDAY:
- Nate’s omelettes (we got off the hook last week, had dinner with friends instead)

I know I am sounding like a broken record, but I am loving all the menu and recipe sharing that is going on each week on these weekly menu posts! Thank you all for creating such a wonderful community. And here we are again…please share your menu for the week! Can’t wait to see what’s for dinner. :)

  1. I went out and bought myself a pre-made meal planning notepad and I already feel much more organised (and grocery shopping was a breeze too!)

    This week:
Monday – home made pizzas (with assorted veggo toppings) – friends coming for dinner
    Tuesday – red quinoa salad
    Wednesday – housemate possibly cooking
Thursday – veggie burgers with roasted veggies
    Friday – Roast veggie salad

Weekends are a bit of a free for all – but I hope to get to the farmers markets for inspiration for next week :)

Your walk sounds lovely! I really should do the same this morning before it gets too hot.

that informs you if your family is coming back for dinner for the next 2 weeks. Sign in and have a look. Let me know if you like it!

  23. Hey Jane – Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well…hope you feel better soon! Those pictures are gorgeous. I ended up making too much food last week so we will be starting this week with some leftover nights. Here is a loosely planned menu for this week. . .

We live in San Francisco, and sometimes it’s easy to forget just how close to the ocean we are. When we do head to the ocean, I’m always amazed by just how beautiful it is. And it always does makes me feel better when I’m a little under the weather or just feeling blue. Plus, our dog loses her mind with excitement rolling around in the sand and surf.

We went to the Asian Food Market this week so I’m excited to have an authentic Chinese dinner. I think it’s authentic anyway…

Monday – Husband is making me spaghetti and garlic sticks. I’m going to make sauteed spinach with garlic and parmesan. I think we’ll make this chocolate pudding. It’s our 6 month wedding anniversary so we’re doing a little something special.
    Tuesday- Leftovers
Wednesday – Miso Soup and Dumplings
Thursday – Boca burgers, sweet potato fries, and aspargus
Friday – french toast/breakfast dinner night
I usually don’t have to cook on the weekends. We just eat out or find something around the house when we get hungry on Saturdays and Sundays.

My husband and I had brunch with friends this weekend and we were talking about how much we’d love to move to Sausalito. Are you in cahoots with him and posting these pictures to get me to move??? :)

I have a question for you and your readers…do you know of any recipes or any way to turn baby food puree into solid? I have $30 worth of organic baby food jars and the baby is refusing to eat. He wants table food now. (Great, this means I actually have to cook!)

Any suggestions would be helpful! mommy-chic.blogspot.com

BUT I feel better than sunday (except for the ear), so maybe things are on the up and up! I feel like everyone I know has a cold right now, the nature of winter I suppose!

and glad you all liked the photos…I couldn’t wait to share them with you. :) and for those of you buried in snow…hopefully I wasn’t torturing you! ;)
