Happy 2012, everyone! We rang in the new year by drinking copious amounts of Coke and Martinelli’s and watching Karate Kid (which may have been obvious by my Instagram feed last night…see here and here and here). It was a pretty rockin’ party. That’s how we roll around here.

-Lasagna w/ bread and YOUR roasted garlic bulb recipe (Shawn’s grandma’s recipe)
-Roasted pork loin, pears and apples with roasted thyme sweet potatoes and some other good stuff. (I’m testing for my next dinner party menu for the blog.)
-Buttermilk spice cake. This isn’t for dinner, though I can’t say I’d mind if it were.
making more dinners for your family each week is definitely all part of the same resolution family…achieving similar goals, love it! and enjoy those roasted garlic bulbs this week….sooooo yummy
That (Shawn’s Grandma’s recipe) part was supposed to be about the lasagna.
Happy new years! One of my resolutions is to have a well stocked fridge and pantry at all times. I also want to cook more, and therefore, have more meals on hand in the freezer/fridge. At some point during the week I plan on cooking/baking:

It has truly saved me time and money now that I always have the ingredients in the house to make a good, healthy dinner. just realized this is my 90th weekly menu. wow!
happy 90th!
I am posting here for the first time! I found your site about a week ago and LOVE it! I’ve been looking for a meal planning site exactly like this!
We just had our first baby this last Nov! (so excited that he came on 11-11-11) So I’ve been trying to stay on meal planning a little better than I have in the past due to eating out being a little tough and finding time to load him up and make it to the store!
A little note for everyone, I have found that people enjoy looking at my recipe binder for the way I keep it! For every recipe I have side notes showing what ingredients that I usually keep on hand and the ones that I will probably need to get from the store! This makes it easy to just pull the recipe (just to put in my weekly/mthly planning binder) and basically already have my grocery list done!
My New Year Resolution and starting to evolve! I’m shooting for eating much healtier to help lose baby weight, staying more organized, and to finally get our son and us into a set schedule (I NEED SLEEP!)
We’re from the middle of Kansas so I cook a little more country and less fancy-smancy than alot of the menus on here and I LOVE my crock pot! So here is our first week of the year menu and my first step to more organization!:
Sunday-Tamales(from David’s hometown so they are authentic!)
Monday-Leftover chicken cordon bleu casserole (Chicken)
Tuesday-Ham/Company Potatoes/Green Beans (Pork)
Wednesday-Tuna Helper/Peas (Fish)
Thursday-Pot Roast/Potatoes/Carrots (Crock pot) (Beef)
Friday-Stuffed Manicotti/Garlic Pull aparts/salads (Pork)
Saturday-Sloppy Joes/Fries/Corn (Beef)
Sunday-Fried Chicken/Mashed taters and gravy/Corn (Chicken)
Cool! Love this blog, I Stumbled on it while looking for meal planning tools! I’ve booked marked it and hopefully I’ll have time to come back and visit. A bit late on the new year’s resolution, but oh well. I’ll try and come up with something to post tomorrow!! The menus all look delicious!
