EmailPinterest0Facebook0Twitter1Google+2StumbleUpon0

Well, it’s over. Thanksgiving is done. And it was a really good one, for more reasons than I can count.

end of thanksgiving feast | thisweekfordinner.com

We made 4 dozen rolls on Thursday and 4 dozen rolls on Friday. And I MIGHT have to make a few more dozen today. We ate sooooo well this past week, I have a feeling this coming week will be a let down. ;)

MONDAY:
– I’m hoping I can drag the leftovers out a bit longer…if not, hot dogs. So fancy.

TUESDAY:
White Chicken Chili (yes, this keeps appearing week after week…maybe I”ll actually get to it this week!)

WEDNESDAY:
Moosewood Pasta Primavera

THURSDAY:
– Leftovers

FRIDAY:
–¬†Homemade pizza (crust recipe,¬†sauce recipe)
– I’ll either do BLT pizza again because it was so good or the honey goat cheese with caramelized onions

SATURDAY:
– Takeout

SUNDAY:
Waffles and scrambled eggs

Can’t wait to see your menus for the week!¬†(Happy Hanukkah to those of you celebrating!)

Just cleaned out a bunch of thanksgiving leftovers to make room for groceries. So sad it’s over, too. Looks like you’re in for a good week of noms, though! I’m slapping some short rib chili in the slow cooker now…and figuring the rest of the week out as we go! Glad I found your blog! Be back often :)

Jane, how do you make your BLT pizza? Do you use a sauce? Sounds really good — just trying to catch to vision so I can attempt it sometime this week.

    • Jane Maynard

I should probably do a post about it because it’s so yummy! for the pizza I use the tomato sauce that I linked to in my menu, bacon and mozzarella cheese. cook it as normal. chop up some romaine lettuce and tomatoes and simply toss them with a bit of mayonnaise. when the pizza is done, top it with the lettuce and tomato mixture. you have to use a knife and fork to eat it. SOOOOOOO good and really simple!

I have to tell you this…I always search for your menus. I find them So intriguing. I’m going to try a cider braised roast! :-)

    • Tamsin

Gosh, thanks Lisa! I love browsing everyone’s menus for ideas. The cider beef stew turned out really well: I browned beef shin, softened some onion and frozen stew vegetables (swede, carrots, leeks) and chucked it all in the slow cooker with cider, beef stock and lots of black pepper. Left it on low for 10 hours then took out the beef, blended the veggies into the sauce and mixed it back together.
