Friday Show and Tell

Today’s Show and Tell is short and sweet because I haven’t been on my computer much at all the last two weeks. It’s been glorious!

Last week on Babble I put together a post of favorite holiday memory foods from a lovely group of food bloggers. It’s a really cute post and you might even have some of the same holiday food memories!

And, yes, that’s me on the right with the little blonde bowl cut. Think I should go back to that do?

Only if you want to blow it out every morning – like the old days… Hair this beautiful didn’t just happen! ;-)

Didn’t we all have the bowl cut at some time in our youth? Tres chic! My best hair was in middle school – the Farrah Fawcett wings! For real!

I have to show and tell while I’m here – I’ve made a lot of pumpkin bread lately. I don’t love greasing my bread pans so I discovered that it’s much easier to use my skinny spatula and “paint” on the butter instead of using my fingers or a paper towel/whatever. So easy!

Also, my sister taught me a sweet trick when baking sweet breads – after you grease your bread pan, instead of flouring them, use sugar! So, you grease and sugar your pan instead of grease and flour. Same process, but it cooks a sugary “shell” for all your crust sides. The nice thing too is that is stays “crusty” and sweet for days. Yum! :)

BTW – that was a Dorothy Hamill wedge haircut – even if it looks like a bowl cut from the front!!!
