Week 370 Menu

Happy Sunday! We are getting a quick visit from my dear friend Allison later today, so the house is actually cleaned up. Of course, I’m still in pajamas and need a shower. Priorities.

I kind of had a hard time getting inspired this week, but I finally got a menu put together. It’s seriously been sitting open on my computer all morning!

MONDAY:
– Beef Stroganoff with egg noodles
– Asparagus

TUESDAY:
Moosewood’s Pasta Primavera (this was Anna’s idea!)
– Bread of some sort

WEDNESDAY:
– Leftovers for the kids, Nate and I are going out with friends and then seeing Robert Randolph and the Family Band at the Belly Up. We’re actually doing something FUN. 😉

THURSDAY:
Chicken Caesar Wraps
– Fruit and chips

FRIDAY:
Easiest Ever Chicken Pot Pie

SATURDAY:
– Eat out or take out with the kids

SUNDAY:
– Breakfast for dinner: Waffles and scrambled eggs

    Tuesday: Mexican bowls: beans, cheese, peppers, onions, avocados
    Wednesday: Beet fritters and broccoli/cauliflowers
    Thursday: Hot dogs and French fries
    Friday: Eggs in avocados with cheese and beans
    Saturday: Going out for a “ladies night” – family is fending with leftovers!

  5. The Moosewood’s Pasta Primavera sounds (and looks) really good. Thanks for the recommendation on a new cookbook to try, especially a vegetarian one. We aren’t vegetarians, but I love trying meatless dishes.

    Lunch:
    1. Eat Out
    2. Pork Chops with Caribbean Rub and Mango Salsa, jasmine rice
    3. Salad
    4. Pizza
    5. Spaghetti with meat sauce
    6. Pork with Balsamic Vinegar, rice, beets
    7. Dad’s Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, beets, steamed carrots

    Supper:
    1. Leftovers
    2. Breakfast for supper (grits, eggs, biscotti, hot cocoa)
    3. Falafel
    4. Chicken Enchilada
    5. Tomato soup, corn meal muffins
    6. PB&J sandwiches, chips, fruit – Date Night!

    Haven’t been here in awhile. Here it goes:
    Sunday – buffalo chicken grilled and pasta
    Monday – baked chicken and brown rice
    Tuesday – a Costco favorite. TBD
    Wednesday – gnocchi and tomatoes
    Thursday – turkey and broccoli stromboli
    Friday – out with the girls
    Sat- dinner out with my hubby.

    Sunday: Asian noodle salad with leftover steak and shrimp.
    Monday: Burgers with green beans and sweet potato fries.
    Tuesday: Junk salads (big salads with a variety of leftover stuff and chickpeas).
    Wednesday: Breakfast for dinner (which we NEVER have) of waffles, smoothies and either sausage or bacon.

    Friday: Either takeout, eating out or something quick and easy because we leave for vacation Saturday! Woohoo for warm weather 🙂

    Last week, I sat down to write a menu, then got interrupted and never went back to it. Somehow, we ate dinner every night last week, but I couldn’t tell you how or what. And we only ate out once! So, this week, I seriously need a plan!

    Tonight – we had chicken and rice.

  15. I made the mistake of cleaning/organizing today…like cleaning out the art room and cleaning the grout in the kitchen. Big mistake. Sunday night and I’m already exhausted! Hah!

    Hopefully a low maintenance menu this week…

    Sunday-Mushroom Swiss Sliders, French Fries, Fruit

    Monday-Lentil Soup, Bread

    Tuesday-Baked Ziti, Bread, Broccoli

    Wednesday and Thursday-Slow Cooker Carnitas Tacos, Pinto Beans, Green Salad

    Friday-Pizza (Trader Joes has frozen organic pizza dough now…going to try it!)
