It’s Sunday, which means it’s time to break out the pencil and paper and get planning!

week 404 weekly menu from @janemaynard including FREE printable meal plan and shopping list

I am going to be traveling to Washington, D.C. this week to attend the 2014 AYA Summit with ONE. The summit will be looking at issues affecting women and girls in developing countries. I majored in International Relations, with a focus in developing countries, and minored in Women’s Studies, so I think it goes without saying that I am SO EXCITED for the summit! My dad is coming to town to help with the kids, so he and Nate will be holding down the fort. When I was in 3rd grade, my dad and I were home alone for a week and he made spaghetti every night. I made sure to add it to the menu in honor of that week! ;)

    MONDAY:
    Cream of Mushroom Soup
    – Crusty bread and salad

    TUESDAY:
    – Loaded Nachos
    Guacamole

    WEDNESDAY:
    – Spaghetti
    – Salad and garlic bread

    – Salad

    FRIDAY:
    – Leftovers

    Week 400 Menu

    EmailPinterestFacebookTwitterGoogle+StumbleUpon

I love round numbers. I kind of feel like the fates gave me weekly menu #400 for my birthday. That was nice of them! It’s my birthday this week, which also means it’s Owen’s since we share the same birthday! It also means that I need to break out the ol’ cake-making skills. Owen has requested a chocolate airplane cake. Wish me luck!

Please go click through and read the comments as well as share your own – it’s truly inspiring! Week 399 Menu

    EmailPinterestFacebookTwitterGoogle+StumbleUpon

Hi there! I seriously can’t believe it’s time to plan another weekly menu. Time flies when you’re having fun, and in our case “fun” is sitting in the ER for 7 hours on a Saturday to find out Owen broke his arm. Poor little guy, but he’s a trooper, even if he HATES the splint and sling…heaven forbid he gets a cast tomorrow, he’ll really be mad! He broke it after standing on a chair, which, unsurprisingly, tipped over…something I’ve warned him about countless times. My friend Nicole said it’s too bad he doesn’t get “I told you so” and I kind of agree! ;)

I think it’s supposed to be hot again this week. Week 397 Menu

    EmailPinterestFacebookTwitterGoogle+StumbleUpon

Hi there. I can’t believe it’s time to plan another menu…here we go!

week 397 weekly dinner menu from @janemaynard including FREE printable meal plan and shopping list

So, I completely underestimated what an interruption to normal life repiping our house would be this past week. I didn’t cook once. We’re almost back to normal now and I actually am cooking this afternoon, which will be nice! Needless to say, lots of repeats on my menu this week from last. (For those of you in California and Nevada, if you are ever in need of repiping your home, see below for info on the company we used.*)

    MONDAY:
    – Happy Labor Day!
    – Hot dogs & hamburgers on the grill

    TUESDAY:
    – Chicken Caesar Wraps
    – Fresh fruit and carrot sticks

    WEDNESDAY:
    – Homemade pizza night (flavors TBD!)

    THURSDAY:
    – Taco night

    FRIDAY:
    – Leftovers

    SATURDAY:
    – Breakfast for Dinner: Waffles

    SUNDAY:
    – BBQ Chicken on the Grill

Your turn! Share your menu for the week, pretty please with a cherry on top!

*Repiping info for California and Nevada folks: Repipe 1 was the company we used and they were fantastic. Their prices are phenomenal, they are super organized and timely, and the customer service has been great. I highly recommend them. The only issue we had was with the crew that patched up our walls. I won’t go into the too much detail, but the biggest issue was that they should have done a much better job putting plastic over our belongings, which ended up being a major headache for me. The company was quick to respond, however, and offered to come out and help clean everything (which I declined in the end and just did it myself). Even with a few hiccups on patch day, I still highly recommend them.

    Week 396 Menu

    EmailPinterestFacebookTwitterGoogle+StumbleUpon

Happy Sunday! As I mentioned on Friday, we have a leak in our house. No one can find it. Not the leak detector. Not the plumber. We know there’s a leak because of the CRAZY LOUD RUSHING WATER NOISE IN OUR WALLS tell us there is. Also, the water meter is spinning. I won’t go into details, but the bottom line is we have to re-pipe the house tomorrow. The bad news…it’s the day before school and we’ll be out a few thousand dollars. The good news…we don’t have a flooded house (yet!) AND we will have beautiful new pipes in our walls. It’s all good.

weekly menu from @janemaynard including FREE printable meal plan and shopping list

    – Leftovers (double soccer practice night!)

    FRIDAY:
    Taco night

    SATURDAY:
    – Breakfast for Dinner: Waffles

    SUNDAY:
    – Having out-of-town friends over, so it’s time for a cook out, including s’morritos for dessert!
