2021 Thanksgiving Menu + Week 730 Menu

Happy Thanksgiving Week! Today’s post is all about the Thanksgiving menu. If you care about the rest of our dinner plans for this week, it’s Hello Fresh meal kits Monday – Wednesday, then leftovers after Thursday. Pretty simple!

Okay, here is this year’s plan for Thanksgiving. I will be combining forces with my family this year, which means way less work than usual. Yippee for me!



We aren’t cooking these recipes this year but not because we don’t love them. In fact, we love them so much it’s hard to strike them from the list! But there is already so much food on our plates, so what are ya gonna do?

    Sunday- leftover pizza
    Monday- salmon, Brussels sprouts and fries
    Tuesday. – penne with vodka sauce
    Wednesday- leftover lamb chops with red wine sauce, potatoes and broccoli
    Thursday- Thanksgiving at my daughter’s!
    Friday – leftovers!
    Saturday- more leftovers!

    Sunday: Instant Pot apple cider chicken
    Monday: Leftover pizza from the weekend
    Tuesday: Vegetarian tacos
    Wednesday: Leftovers
    Thursday: With family, but we’re bringing the desserts!
    Friday: Soup/TBD
    Saturday: Soup/TBD

  3. I am SO EXCITED for Thanksgiving! We only have 8 people at the table this year, but we still have a 21-lb turkey and a million dishes. You just can’t make cuts!!

    Sunday: Out to eat after voice/piano recitals

    Monday: Pepe e Cacio and roasted broccoli
    Tuesday: Chicken nuggets and Parmesan cauliflower
    Wednesday: French Bread pizzas
    Thursday: Thanksgiving dinner at my house!
    – Turkey
    – Gravy
    – Cranberry Sauce
    – Cornbread Stuffing
    – Mashed Potatoes
    – Sweet potato casserole
    – Green bean casserole
    – Butterhorns
    – Pumpkin pie (Libby’s recipe….of course!)
    – Apple pie
    – Pie Dough…already made!
    Friday: Leftovers
    Saturday: Out

    Tue: Chicken parmesan meatballs, garlic bread, salad
    Wed: Shrimp fajitas
    Thu: Thanksgiving on my parent’s farm. I’m making roasted butternut squash bisque, dinner rolls, and Thanksgiving slaw. The rest of the menu:
    Classic family recipe stuffing
    Mashed potatoes
    Sweet potato casserole with marshmellows
    Corn dish
    Oyster stuffing
    Cranberry sauce
    Pumpkin pie
    Pecan pie
    Chocolate chess pie
    Thanksgiving margaritas

    Fri: Leftovers
    Sat: Salmon, green beans

    Yay for Thanksgiving week!

    Monday: Lentils with Rice Pilaf and Salad

    Tuesday: Chicken and Broccoli Rice Casserole

    Wednesday: Pigeon Peas, Chicken and Rice and Freah Veggies

    Thursday: Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, candy green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, stuffing, rolls, key lime pie, Milky Way tart, and Minced Pear pie

    Sun: takeout: Phillippe’s French dip in LA (finally checked off of my culinary bucket list — so good!)
    Mon: Sausage and chard over pasta
    Tues: Steak salad
    Wed: Ground pork sauce over fried tofu and bean threads
    Thurs: Turducken (my wife had so much fun making one last year, she wanted to do it again),
    Corn & hominy casserole, candied yams, cranberry/pear relish, roasted Brussels sprouts with maple vinegar, limoncello cheesecake, pumpkin pie, lemon bars
    Fri: leftovers
    Sat: Matzo ball soup
