Option 4 : Both kinetic and potential energy

__ CONCEPT__:

- Kinetic Energy (KE): It is those type of energy which act only when the body is in motion.

\(K.E = \frac{1}{2}mv^2\)

Where m is the mass of the body, v is the velocity of the body.

- Potential Energy (U): The energy of a body due to its position is called potential energy.

U = mgh

Where m is the mass of the body, g is the acceleration due to gravity, and h is the height of the body from the surface from the ground)

__ EXPLANATION__:

- When an object is kept at the
**topmost point of its motion**, it contains**potential energy**.

**U = mgh **

- When it has reached the l
**owest point**, it has only**kinetic energy.**

\(K.E = \frac{1}{2}mv^2\)

- But when it is half the distance it contains it will have
**both kinetic energy and potential energy**
