My cousin is visiting with her family and we celebrated their daughter Emma’s birthday on our back porch last night. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for that porch. We’ve only been in our home for 9 months and already have so many wonderful memories on that patio. I’m feeling very grateful this morning.

Show and tell is for the whole class, so share whatever you like! Happy Friday!

It’s actually Tuesday right now, instead of Friday, so I’m late, but my show and tell is that I’m turning 40 this week!! (on Saturday the 29th to be exact) Say what??!! It still amazes me to think that I’m already at this milestone (because I swear I just graduated high school) but I am actually totally fine with it. I’ve sort of been embracing it since New Years, since I knew it was coming. And I’ve kinda developed an attitude of “I’m 40, don’t mess with me!” It’s nice… I recently read a quote that says, “Do not regret growing older. It’s a privilege denied to many.” How can I complain… And honestly, I actually do feel a little wiser! Now, when my kids ask me certain questions, I feel like I have some life experience under my belt to answer them. It’s also nice… 🙂 So, I’m still not sure exactly how I will be celebrating (already had a surprise party with the BFF’s and a big family party to come this summer) but I’m happy to say that I’m not dreading the BIG DAY. Oh, and I have a nice hoard supply of anti aging creams ready for use! 😉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and I really love everything you said so much, and that quote is awesome. thank you, carolina!!
I love ravioli! Excited to try those recipes!
