Time for Friday Show and Tell!
Do you have a comfort TV show? You know, TV that’s like eating a big plate of mashed potatoes and gravy? Gilmore Girls is mine. For sure. No question. I LOVE THAT SHOW. The only thing I asked for at Christmastime several years ago was the complete DVD box set, in all its low-def glory. (Nate thought I was nuts.) Even with the DVD box set, I can’t tell you how pumped I am that the show is finally on Netflix. YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! By the way, whenever I meet someone who loves Gilmore Girls as much as I do, we are instantly bonded. Family. I don’t know what it is about that show. If you are a fellow Gilmore Girls addict, you know what I mean. Okay, so today, you have to tell me if you are also a Gilmore Girls fan. And, if for some ungodly reason you are not, tell us what YOUR comfort TV show is! (Also, is it bad or impressive that I knew pretty much all 293 of these references?)
Just one quick food link from me this week on Babble, which includes a SUPER cute story about my 6-year-old Anna that totally makes me crack up: Copycat Recipe: Starbucks’ Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino.
Feel free to share other stuff, but mostly I just want to know if you love Rory and Lorelai. 😉
Love the Gilmore Girls!!
Andy Griffith, Big Bang Theory, Roseanne
those are good comfort tv shows!
I still morn the fact that the gilmore girls ended so soon! My fave show ever!
I feel like I would have let them drag that show out forever if they wanted to! 😉
I loved Melissa McCarthy in this series! I hope there is a reunion someday.
she was the best – sookie is my fave!!!
You need to meet my baby sister (age 33) – she looooooves Gilmore Girls! I seriously don’t watch much TV anymore but I can always appreciate Seinfeld. I like “dry” humor and sarcasm 🙂
yes, I think your sister and I sound like twins! 😉
ok…i watched season one a few years ago and then stopped. but when i heard it was on netflix i decided to give it a try…and i’m kind of hooked.
I am SO glad you gave it another try – we pulled another one of your unsuspecting souls to the dark side! 😉
We are HUGE Gilmore fans! Nearly through Season 1 on Netflix and I’m loving it just as much my third time through — first the original airdates, then the DVDs with my kids and now Netflix with my kids, who love it just as much as I do.
I just got my friend debbie (who’s never seen it) to watch it with her daughter and they are both in love. it’s just so great!
My 13 yr old daughter and i are HUGE Lorelei and Rory fans. we take all of the buzzfeed quizzes, watch every chance we get and quote it all of the time. She is home after having surgery yesterday, and we are watching a ton of Gilmore Girls. You are not alone.
haha! I would love to hang out with you guys! glad that netflix came through for her surgery – hope she’s feeling well!
You know I am SO excited about GG on netflix! I may have already finished the 1st season this week”¦but the college years are my fav. LOGAN BE MINE. Why doesn’t she marry him?!? Ugh still makes me mad to this day.
I hated logan at first…but totally grew to love him. but rory needed to spread her wings, rach! 😉
