Oh, why, hello! I’m still here! I know, it’s been a while. We have had some big changes in our family this year, so meal planning and blogging were moved to the back burner. But they’re still simmering. I promise the flame on that burner has not gone out. In fact, my daughters are going to start getting involved with the blog and we have some fun things planned. Stay tuned!
Until then, we found Mr. Potato Head in the wild. Don’t worry, he’s not sad or anything, just thinking hard about the last book he read, Demon Copperhead.

Talk soon! Much love! Can’t wait to get back into the food groove with you all!

It’s heartwarming to see Jane rekindling her passion for meal planning and family-centered food content—especially after life’s big transitions. As she prepares to bring fresh ideas (and her daughters!) back into the kitchen, having reliable, everyday tools becomes even more valuable. For anyone testing input devices before diving into recipe research, meal prep apps, or even blog updates, a quick verification step ensures everything works smoothly. I’ve found https://inputchecks.com/ incredibly helpful for instantly confirming keyboard, mouse, gamepad, or touchscreen responsiveness—no setup, no downloads, just clarity in seconds. Perfect for busy home cooks and content creators alike.

What a lovely “hello again” post — so nice to hear the blog is simmering away and that your daughters will be joining in! On a side note, since we’re getting back into creative family projects, I’ve been using a free cursive generator (cursive-generator.app) to make pretty handwriting-style text for recipe cards and party invites — it works right in the browser with nothing to install, and exports transparent PNGs you can drop into any design. Might be fun for holiday planning posts too. Looking forward to what’s next on the blog!
Welcome back, Jane! Glad the flame is still simmering and that your daughters will be joining the blog — and I loved the photo of Mr. Potato Head pondering Demon Copperhead. On a side note, since your recipes often carry brand names, a handy tool for typing the ™ and © symbols quickly is this trademark symbol copy-paste site: trademark symbol typing shortcuts. Looking forward to the meal planning posts!
Welcome back, Jane! Glad to hear the family changes have settled and that your daughters will be joining the blog — and the Mr. Potato Head photo reading Demon Copperhead is a fun touch. If anyone here likes decorating their name or bio with little symbols, I’ve been using text crosses and Christian symbols from simple decorations for your name or bio — handy for comment signatures. Looking forward to the meal planning posts!
Thanks for sharing! I have been hooked on Rhyme Game lately, a great way to sharpen your vocabulary.

Whether you’re scaling recipes, troubleshooting texture issues, or just curious how ingredients interact at a molecular level, it’s a quietly powerful companion to thoughtful home cooking. Happy simmering—and experimenting!
Welcome back! The image of meal planning and blogging sitting on the back burner while family life changed feels very familiar. It is lovely that your daughters may join the blog; that sounds like a fun way to bring new ideas into the food groove. Mr. Potato Head thinking about Demon Copperhead made me laugh. His interchangeable look also reminded me of Dressmaker Game, where playing with an outfit is a light creative break between bigger projects.
Vehicle variety is one of the strongest parts of Escape Road.
Love that the daughters are getting involved — passing the food blog to the next generation is the best kind of evolution. Welcome back to the food groove!
