I finally have a tortilla warmer!

You know what I’ve always wanted? A tortilla warmer. I’ve frequently looked for them in stores but have had a hard time finding them. (Side note: I don’t know why I never looked on Amazon, but whatever.)

My wonderful neighbor Ari (who is from Mexico City and shops at a Mexican market nearby) knew I was on the lookout for one. She knocked on my door the other day, tortillas and tortilla warmer in hand! She’s a very good neighbor and she knows how to make me very happy!

So, yeah, tortilla warmers are great. You should get one. You can heat up your tortillas, put them in the warmer as you go, then serve all the heated tortillas at once. It’s awesome. (Now that I think about it, my warmer will come in handy for Swedish pancakes, too!)

I bought a cloth one at the Ventura County Fair, it was not cheap but let me tell you, it is amazing. Put the tortillas in , put in microwave and they heat up and stay warm through the whole meal. I never would have believed it. Supposedly you can make baked potatoes in mine, I have never tried it.

I just told my hubby that we need a tortilla warmer three days ago! That’s awesome, I need to get on the prowl for one.

I love my tortilla warmer! My husband thought I was silly for wanting one, but after my Mom bought us one and we started using it regularly, he was hooked too! 🙂

We always see those at kitchen outlet stores, if you have any nearby.

um…i totally need this! i started making my own tortillas when we moved to the east coast because i just can’t find any decent ones in the stores. thanks jane!

  6. But Jane, I don’t think you ever got to check out our Made in USA tortilla warmer, since your neighbor took care of everything. This little beauty is made in Texas and it was a big hit at the recently concluded State Fair of Texas, where they were for sale in a special store filled with nothing but items made in Texas! Perhaps you’ll share this one too!
