Jif Natural Peanut Butter

I love Jif peanut butter.  It’s the only kind I’ll eat.  YUM YUM YUM.  I’ve tried other brands as well as natural peanut butters and have never been happy.  I even tried making my own…let’s just say I’ll be leaving that task to the experts. My friends and I were discussing this recently and Natalee piped in with, “Jif has a new natural peanut butter – and it’s great!  Super smooth, great flavor, I love it!”  We were all sold and decided to try it.

Fast forward to the next day, hanging out with the same friends, me (obnoxiously) checking my email on my iPhone.  Want to guess what was sitting in my Inbox?  A press release from Jif announcing their new Jif Natural Peanut Butter! We decided Jif should have paid Natalee a few bucks and let her write the press release…and seriously, why was she so on top of this new product release?  We all felt a little bit like a living commercial.  Pretty funny.  Serendipity dictated that I must respond to the email…Jif gladly sent along some Jif Natural for me to try.

I must confess, regular creamy Jif will always be my favorite, but Jif Natural is very good.  It has a stronger roasted peanut flavor and a nice smooth texture.  Natalee was right, it beats out other natural peanut butters for sure.

I predict that 90% of the people who read this post today will have PB&J for lunch. 🙂

  1. Have you tried the Skippy natural pb? It’s the BEST peanut butter, it’s all I will buy. Super yummy. And if you buy it, it’s cheapest at Wal- mart…

  2. 2

pb is not pb unless it is chunky. you’re such a girl. (and jif is definitely the best)

  3. 3

I had a PB sandwich today with Jif’s good ol’ creamy stuff, but I’ll have to do a taste test with the different kinds now!

  4. 4

Jif creamy is the ONLY WAY TO GO!

When I was in middle school there was a stretch when I used to hang out at a friend’s every day after school. We would have a thick layer of Jif creamy on the whitest of white bread (Sunbeam) at least 4 pieces each with milk in case we choked. Then we would play her player piano until that got boring. Then we’d sing “Tracks of My Tears” over and over (in harmony) laying around on the couches in her family room. Ahhhh … that was the life…..

I’m laughing that I read this post at 8 p.m., but I DID have PB for lunch! Not PB&J, though. PB & Banana. Yummm!

I’ll be waiting with bated breath for the proceeds to come a rollin’ my way. 😉

  8. Jif was smart to send you some samples. I hope they paid you some big bucks too! I think I’ll definitely be buying that peanut butter next time I’m at the grocery store. 🙂

I have to second all the suggestions about skippy natural PB. I have been eating it for about 3 years. The only had creamy at first, but I was in heaven when they came out with extra chunky. If I see the Jif at my store I will try it out since you say it’s good.

  14. if you do a side by side taste test, fill us in! 🙂

  15. Really? I think that TJ’s natural creamy PB and Costco’s PB are so delicious!
