I’ve been doing some photography work for Cafe Borrone the last few months. We had another shoot this morning, which means I ended up coming home with the best lunch ever. Happy Friday to me!

While I was waiting for Josh (the head chef) to set up a shot of the beer on tap, I noticed these lemon slices off to the side. I snapped them quickly and am in love with the shot.Β I don’t know why, this photo just pulls me in.

And, here’s that beer I was talking about. I figured I should share, it is the weekend after all.

I have to say, shooting food that I don’t have to prepare AND that I get to eat afterwards is the best. Relaxing, fun, delicious. Speaking of delicious, I’m going to go finish my lunch. Which, by the way, does not involve any beer.

You inspire me Jane! Keep doing what you’re doing :):)

I love the lemon shot! Jane you are the best. I can’t wait to see the other photos. Happy to hear you are eating your lunch and probably reading books. Thanks.

  3. My boyfriend is demanding that I ask you what kind of beer that is! Is it something local?

How fun. One of our vendor’s girlfriends just started shooting food for Starbucks, sounds like a great job.

  5. I love this! The pictures are simply lovely. Also, I spent pretty much every weekend in high school hanging out Cafe Borrone, so there’s a seriously soft spot in my heart for that place. For whatever reason, we thought that place was the coolest ever. Oh, and Franziskaner is a great beer! πŸ™‚

Jane, was skimming your site and read just the caption under your beer shot. “I have to say, shooting food that I don’t have to prepare AND that I get to eat afterwards is the best.”
First thought is Jane Maynard now a hunter?! I reread your post. Cafe Borrone would be a perfect place to work for their food is definitely amazing!
