New Pizza Flavor: Apple Bacon

First off, I think I should have a baby once a month just so we can get dinners brought to us all the time. Okay, not really. But seriously, every meal we’ve gotten so far this week has been DELICIOUS. And, yes, I’m gathering recipes to share with you! Today’s “recipe” is simple…a new pizza flavor that is simple and awesome.

Last night our friends Sarah and Harry brought us homemade pizza, which tasted great. One of the pizza flavors was apple bacon. We’ve never had apple bacon pizza before and I must say we’ve been missing out! We loved it. It’s sort of like an autumn twist on Hawaiian pizza. I had to share it with you because, well, I just think it’s a super cool pizza flavor! Enjoy!

{If you’re looking for a homemade crust to put your bacon and apples on, this one from a bona fide Italian uncle is mighty fine.}

  1. That sounds amazing! Definitely on the menu for next week! Might have to put it in panini form, though. My panini press is lonely!

  2. Oh mercy, you’ve convinced me! I want apple bacon. I could totally talk Viktor into trying that, he’s addicted to meat. More specifically, bacon flavored meat.

  3. sounds good, and I’ll add it to the menu next week, too!

    Your friends are not only very generous, but very brave. I always get intimidated cooking for foodie friends.

      ha ha! one of my friends who dropped dinner off earlier this week said exactly that…that I was an intimidating person to bring dinner to! I just laughed and told her that no one should worry one bit about that!! and they all have certainly brought us some wonderful food! 🙂

  5. That actually sounds delish!!! Now i’m curious… I have to try it!

  6. p.s.- How come the 1st and 2md person who replied to this get to have their picture next to their post? How do I get my picture next to my posts?

    That sounds amazing!!! Who doesnt love bacon? haha. Whenever i bring food to people (and actually have time to cook something) i try to make something exciting and a little different, so im sure they arent eating the same meal as they had the night before. I love to make a huge salad with bacon, sliced marinated steak, veggies, and lemon olive oil dressing on the side, along w/ garlic rolls and chocolate mousse pie. Plus, its really easy to double this so i can make it for my own family as well.

  8. i’m so trying this! what a great idea 🙂

    Really? I guess I have to become alot more bold when choosing my Pizza topping 🙂

    How gay is this! There is no recipe!

      there isn’t really a recipe – they used tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, sliced apples and cooked bacon. I did link to my pizza crust recipe at the end of this post, in case you would like to make homemade crust. hope that’s helpful!
