Week 175 Menu

Here’s our breakfast this morning, puffed oven pancake. It’s Cate’s new favorite breakfast food. I think they’re pretty good, but honestly, the best part is how EASY they are to make. I’m glad Cate is so easily pleased…at least for now. Knowing how 5-year-olds are about food, she’ll hate them tomorrow. 😉

  1. 1

I love puffed oven pancakes. I should make them more often–and if they don’t take 45 minutes to eat, then it would be a faster Sunday morning breakfast than cold cereal! Our current Sunday schedule isn’t really working for us.

Sunday–Pasta with Bolognese, french bread, salad
Monday–Pork Loin, hot dogs (for the kids), side dishes supplied by friends
    Tuesday–Black Bean Couscous salad
    Wednesday–Grilled Cheese
    Thursday–Tuna Sweet Pea Pasta Salad
    Friday–Some type of chicken, rice

  2. My mom used to make oven pancakes for dinner, and we LOVED them!! As tradition, they would be topped with warm applesauce. Yum!

Sunday: Whole, roasted chicken on the grill, Grilled Potatoes Slices (from Bitten Word)
    Monday: Steak, broccoli, cornbread
    Tuesday: Panzanella
Wednesday: Leftovers (Dad is out of town)
Thursday: Gobi Matar Sabzi (from Jane!)

    Wednesday – Enchiladas, corn, fruit
Thursday – Salmon Cakes, fries maybe, wild rice OR leftovers to clean out fridge before we go camping for the weekend.

  4. Hi Jane! I do have one suggestion-try America’s Test Kitchen’s Make Ahead Potato Salad For a Crowd-my husband says it is “the best potato salad in the world.” The recipe is on their site.:) Also, we’re having Hershey’s Perfectly Chocolate Cake for dessert-yum!

Sunday-Slow cooker pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, chocolate cake

Very tasty!
