Week 183 Menu

It is so good to be back on the Cape.

I love being steps away from the beach.

I love seeing my girls’ hair get curlier by the minute in the ocean air.

I love the weathered cedar siding, everywhere you look.

I love watching my children’s childhood memories being created, unfolding in beautiful ways.

This is my magical place.

Our menu is quite fluid this week. I love vacation.

Saturday (last night):
-Our annual Sweet Tomatoes pizza binge

Sunday (tonight):
– My mom is making Chicken Croissants tonight

As for the rest of the week…my mom is planning on making fajitas another night, I’m sure Nate’s mom will do a fantastic cookout. We’ll definitely be eating at Seafood Sam’s. Beyond that, we’ll play it by ear.

    Monday: leftover soup 🙂
    Tuesday: Jambalaya…I know it’s hot out…but I have too many bell peppers
    Wednesday: Maybe Spaghetti and meatballs
    Friday: leftovers
    Saturday: NO CLUE (working all weekend)

  3. Sunday: BBQ at a friend’s house; we’re bringing fruit, fruit dip, and some homemade wheat rolls
    Monday: Something quick!
    Tuesday: Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwich with Charred Spring Onions (both from Bitten Word)
    Wednesday: Pulled Pork (in slow cooker)
    Thursday: Spinach lasagna (from the freezer) for Lasagna Day!
    Friday: Homemade pizza
    Saturday: Out.

    Wed – skillet fajitas
    Thur – chimichangas
    Fri – leftovers

    Maybe if I put the skillet fajitas earlier in the week I will get to them, since this is the third week in a row they have been on our menu…

    I love the beach! We used to summer at the Jersey shore. That first shot of yours reminds me so much of it.

    i’ve actually never been to the cape. i know. such a shame, right? don’t really have an actual menu, but based on what’s in the fridge, and that we went to the asian food mart, here’s what we got so far:
    Sun-pan fried noodles with veggies
    Mon-tofu with thai red coconut curry
    Tues-cucumber and peanut butter sandwiches
    Wed-chinese broccoli stir fry with garlic
    Thurs-salad with apples, dried cranberries, feta and candied pecans
    Fri-margherita pizza
    Sat-Yankees game! yay!

    Sunday: not sure – friends stopping into town for the night. We will decide on dinner when they get here
    Monday: Mahi Mahi ceviche tostadas
    Tuesday: Steak salad
    Wednesday: BLATs
    Thursday: Grilled red snapper
    Friday: Grilled chicken + zucchini
    Saturday/Sunday: ?

    Tuesday: Homemade Burritos, Homemade Salsa and Spanish Rice

    Wednesday: Veggie StirFry, and Veggie Egg Rolls

    Thursday: Burgers (veggie for me), Mac n Cheese, Waffle Fries and Veggies with Dip

    Friday: Pizza

    Saturday: Leftovers

    Sunday: Spaghetti, Roasted Italian Green Beans, and Garli Pane Di Casa bread

    Our first full week home from vacation. It’s hot and humid, so I’m keeping it simple.

    M- pasta carbonara
    T – Asian chicken salad
    W – black bean soup w/ bread or rice
    Th – pizza(maybe…if it’s below 33 C in the house)
    F – salad and rolls
    Sat – grandpa comes to visit…yay for an air conditioned restaurant
    Sun – Breakfast, norweigan pancakes and lots of fixings! We’re having friends over for it too.

    Sunday-Island chicken in crockpot, coconut rice, veggies
    Monday-quinoa with shrimp and zucchini, corn on the cob
    Tuesday-out to dinner, simple pasta with peas for the kids
    Wednesday-cookout food
    Thursday-cabbage rolls in crockpot
    Friday-homemade pizza with veggies from the garden
    Saturday-breakfast for dinner
    Sunday-burgers, roasted potatoes, green salad

  12. It’s been a while since I got my menu up here! Here’s what’s on tap for this week:
    Mon. – Chicken Bundles
    Tues. – Burrito Bowls w/ jicama watermelon salad
    Wed. – freezer meal or leftovers @ work
    Thurs. – Balsamic Roasted Pork w/ roasted root veggies
    Fri. – Yeasted Waffles
    Sat. – Turkey Burgers or Panini

    I’ve learned with my CSA basket, I need to be flexible with my menu plans- But this is what I have planned for this week:

    Sunday: Turkey-Stuffing casserole, green beans
    Monday: BFD. Eggs/Toast or Waffles? Fresh berries
    Tuesday: Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches, (homemade?) chips, salad, CSA vegies
    Wednesday: Hubby Cooks. Shrimp Spring rolls with 3 sauces (peanut, ginger-lime-soy, and sweet chili), CSA vegies, pineapple
    Thursday: Hubby Cooks. Brats, beans, salad, watermelon
    Friday: Garlic-Rosemary Chicken, potatoes, watermelon, Salad/CSA vegies
    Saturday: Beef stir-fry with zucchini, peppers, onions, rice, whatever leftover fruit I still have from the week!

    T: Spaghetti & marinara sauce, chopped salad
    F: Homemade pizza and fruit salad
    S: Grilled pork chops, cous cous, steamed green beans
    S: Tostadas

  17. Sunday: Sunday Night Skillet Chicken and Rice
    Monday: Globe Zucchini Stuffed with Chickpeas, Rice, Dates, and Feta
    Tuesday: Avgolemono
    Wednesday: Whole Wheat Penne with Caramelized Onions, Zucchini, and Feta Cheese
    Thursday: Franks and Beans
    Friday: Out
    Saturday: Naan pizza or quesadillas
