I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Our weekend has been fun and sweet, filled with small moments like these that overwhelm me with gratitude.
The kids have been pretty good the last few days and we’re not sick of them or the leftovers. It’s a miracle! I suppose we still have one more day of the weekend to get through. 😉

Oooh! First!!
S: Turkey empanadas. We’re going to resurrect Thursday’s turkey that my wife’s mother and aunt cooked for five hours (it was a 14 lb. bird…yikes).
Meatless M: Barley stew with leeks, mushrooms and greens
T: Beef stew with egg noodles
W: Portugese chicken and rice
R: Pasta with marinara
F: Takeout
S: TBA. I have a work event that day and depending when it wraps will decide what, how and if I’m cooking.
Doing a pantry/deep freeze/veggie garden clean out this week! And trying to eat somewhat healthier :/

Mon: Sweet and Sour Cabbage Soup, Whole Wheat French Bread (Didn’t get to the Stuffed Cabbage last week, so I’m turning it into a soup.)
Tues: Arroz con Pollo, Tomato-Avocado Salad
Wed: Turkey Tacos
Thurs: Julia Child’s Beef Carbonnade, Cauliflower Fritters, Garden Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette.
This is my first post. I just found this website and I’m loving all of the ideas and the real life menus!
Sunday: Red Beans and Rice, French Bread (Hubby’s night to cook!)Toasted beef and cheese raviolis with red cream sauce, cucumber salad.
Monday:
Tuesday: Pork tacos with lime cilantro crema. (Pork loin in the crock pot with salsa.)
Wednesday: Shrimp Piccata with orzo and asperagus.
Thursday: Panko Talapia (from Costco), pasta and a veggie.
Friday: Breakfast biscuits with eggs and sausage.
Saturday: Girls night out, so probably hot dogs or burgers for the guys.
I don’t plan for a specific day; I just plan 4-5 meals and make what I feel like/ have time for on a particular day. I’m working full days Mon – Wed, so less time to get things together those days.

Sat: Burgers, Fries, Mac n Cheese (homemade black bean burgers for me)

I’m expecting another little one and I finally feel like I’m coming out of the “fog”. I made a menu today AND went to the grocery store AND cooked dinner. WooHoo mommy is BACK!
