Week 344 Menu

Our realtor sent us a box of goodies from Stonewall Kitchen and we cracked open a few of the items this weekend, including the Wild Maine Blueberry Jam. SO GOOD. (Also, since we’re talking Stonewall Kitchen, their salt & pepper crackers are the greatest crackers on earth and totally worth $7 a box. I know, sounds crazy, but it’s true.)

School starts this week! I think traveling for the last month has kept us busy enough that I’m actually not ready for summer to be over yet. But I am excited for the girls to go to their new school. Should be a fun week!

    X’s soccer coach invited all the kids & their families over for pizza after their first practice! 🙂

    I get to pick the place since it’s my b-day and I can’t decide between Thai or Sushi! 🙂

    Thursday – Burgers, corn on the cob, applesauce
    Friday – Leftovers
    Saturday – Whatever is left in fridge cause pulling out early tomorrow morning for a long awaited trip to the Outer Banks for a week

    School starts tomortow and I have to get back into a planning and cooking groove!
    Tonight: homemade french bread pizzas
    Monday: chicken alfredo
    Tuesday: French toast
    Wednesday: hot dogs
    Thursday: spaghetti
    Friday: our 16th wedding anniversary!! Eating out 😉
    Saturday: unplanned
    Sunday: youngest child’s 6th birthday; she hasn’t decided what she wants yet!

    As always, I make the list but don’t designate a day for everything.

    Chili and grilled cheese
    Meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans – prepping and freezing the meatloaf today.
    BBQ shredded chicken sandwiches – cooking away in the crock pot right now.
    Mac N Cheese – the lazy blue box kind because I need at least three easy dinners this week.
    Mexican something with black beans, rice and green chili enchilada sauce.
    Breakfast – eggs, biscuits, bacon
    Tuesday – Leftovers/on-your-own/whatever. I’m in class so they’ll find something.

  7. Monday: dinner out (El Pollo Loco)
    Tuesday: Curried Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie and salad
    Wednesday: dinner out (Rubio’s)
    Thursday: Honey Chicken, Rice, and Cauliflower
    Friday: Lebanese Beef and Hummus with Cucumber Salad
    Saturday: Samosa-Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with rice
    Sunday: Chicken and Shrimp Stew

    Man… I wish someone would send me a gift. Boohoo.. Anyway, school is about to start and I am slowly running out of steam on dinner ideas. Myself and oldest daughter don’t eat meat so, I seem to always be making 2 meals and I’m greeting tired of that stuff. Well, enough complaints… Here’s our menu.

    Mon.- Falafels, jasmine rice, tabouleh and pitas

    Tues.- Stuffed shells , green salad and pheasant bread

    Wed.- Shrimp pasta and leftover garlic bread

    Thurs.- Chinese spare ribs, Homemade fried rice and lo mein

    Fri.- Epcot Yorkshire House fish n chips

    Sat.- Seafood gumbo, rice and garlic bread

    Sun.- Chicken n rice, broccoli, corn and clover rolls

    Frog eye salad, Apple Brown Betty (PW), Strawberry shortcake and Ooey Gooey bars

  11. I’ve seen Stonewall Kitchen items (like scone mix and jam) at a nice discount at Homegoods before. Yum!

    Because we don’t have enough going on already (hahaha), I’m recovering from surgery this week so meals are going to be using whatever’s in the fridge and freezer. Yay for precooked frozen rice from Trader Joes!

    Sunday-A sweet friend brought us a yummy dinner. Chicken and rice casserole, peas, cole slaw, and brownies.

    Monday-Stuffed Peppers

    Tuesday-Baked Salmon, Rice, Green Beans

    Wednesday-Beef Burritos, slow cooker Refried Beans, Guacamole




  12. Sunday: Steaks on the grill and apple, leek, and sweet potato gratin
    Monday: Homemade fish sticks
    Tuesday: Steak tacos with the fixins’
    Wednesday: Tilapia cakes and green salad
    Thursday: Baked sweet potato with cranberry/BBQ chutney
    Friday: Hot dogs on homemade buns
    Saturday: Out.

    Stonewall kitchen products are fantastic! My favorite is the roasted apple grille sauce. Great on pork tenderloin or pork chops.

    T: Still experimenting for progressive dinner party; bacon wrapped chicken w/Jane’s maple balsamic sauce, mashed potatoes & green beans.
    W: Pasta w/brie, tomatoes, basil & olive oil.

    Stonewall is great. Made less than a mild from my house growing up.

  17. My husband is a big fan of blueberry jam… I love banana jam (hard to find. I drove to a farm 40 miles from my house to get some once!)

    School is back in full swing! But we still like to grill most stuff since it is still hot, hot, hot! Summer has finally hit So.Cal.

    Mon – Grilled Pork Chops, mashed potatoes, sauteed bell peppers & onions
    Tues – Chicken Enchiladas, Rice & Beans (made ahead of time, just pull out of freezer, thaw & bake!)
    Wed – Grilled Chicken Sandwiches w/fresh tomatoes & cheese, Carrots & Celery, Berry Compote w/Vanilla Ice Cream
    Thurs – Grilled Steaks, Pasta Salad, Steamed Carrots
    Fri – High School Football Season starts! First Pre-Season Game so my husband and I are grabbing something at the game. My kids who have to be there earlier will have some pasta.
    Sat – Hamburgers, Chips, Corn on the Cob, Watermelon
    Sun – Crock Pot Ham & Potatoes
