Week 394 Menu

Happy Sunday! Last night I took Cate to her first concert! She beat me by six years, by the way. We saw Sara Bareilles and the show was great. Sara Bareilles is funny, witty, charming and her voice is unreal. Cate said it was “loud” but also admitted that she had fun. Such a cutie. Little Anna is completely jealous and has watched the few little video clips I took of the concert over and over again, singing along to all the words. She’s a cutie, too.

I’m traveling to Oregon Wednesday through Friday this week to visit the Tillamook farm and cheese factory. I’m SUPER excited. I’ll be gone a couple nights, so Cate helped me plan what they’re going to eat the nights when I’m gone.

    Thursday: black bean bowls with the leftover quinoa and broccoli
    Friday: Meatball subs with caesar salad
    Saturday: out for sushi

    Saturday: out to eat
    Sunday: frittata/breakfast for dinner/popcorn – whatever easy meal sounds good then

    Monday – Fend night – Taking son to the beach for the day – he has been so helpful all summer!
    Tuesday – chicken fajitas
    Wednesday – hamburgers on grill
    Thursday – leftovers
    Friday – Sunday – in Toronto for a wedding!

    So funny to see English muffin pizzas on your menu as they are on mine too since the grandbabies will be here and they love to help with the meals.

    Sunday – Birthday Cookout for oldest granddaughter
    Monday – Blackened Cajun red snapper over linguine with zucchini and yellow squash
    Tuesday – Beef tips, mushrooms over noodles (carryover from last week)
    Wednesday – Leftover red snapper and zucchini boats with tomato and cheese
    Thursday – Ham fried rice
    Friday – English muffin pizzas, veggies and dip
    Saturday – Leftovers

    Have a fun trip!

    Mon: Pasta with tomato and mascarpone sauce, green salad.
    Tue: Chicken, runner bean and pepper stir-fry with brown rice.
    Wed: Cauliflower cheese quiche, tomato salad.
    Thur: My workmates are coming over to play Ticket to Ride. Making ham and pineapple; roasted onion with green peppers and goat’s cheese and Margherita with rocket and parmesan.
    Fri: Ratatouille baked eggs, crusty bread, green beans
    Sat: Slow roast Turkish lamb (with spices and onion), hummus, flat breads, carrot and mint salad.
    Sun: Dinner at Mum’s.

    This is our last week of summer! School seems to start earlier and earlier each year.

    Mon – Italian 5-cheese chicken roll-ups, salad, garlic bread (trying out a new recipe)
    Tues – Mushroom & Provolone burgers, sweet potato fries, nectarines
    Wed – Pork tenderloin, corn on the cob, potato salad
    Thurs – Pizza, salad
    Fri – BBQ/potluck w/friends
    Sat – Bacon, onion cheeseburgers, corn on the cob, pasta salad
    Sun – Root Beer Pulled Pork sandwiches, broccoli, coleslaw, watermelon

  13. Sunday: Eli’s Asian Salmon and cauliflower rice
    Monday: Beet burgers with homemade buns
    Tuesday: Pumpkin pancakes
    Wednesday: Leftovers
    Thursday: Mongolian beef and broccoli over rice

    mon – chicken stirfry with brown rice
    tues – chicken pieces in an experimental coconut chilli and lime sauce with broccoli and cauliflower and brown rice
    wed – cottage pie (veggies in the mince)with salad
    thurs – home made chicken ‘nuggets’ (breaded chicken tenders) with sweet potato wedges and roast vegetables
    fri – pork chops with mashed potatoes and salad
    sat – t-bone with mushroom sauce, gem squash and salad

  17. Cate looks so grown up!! Glad you had fun. What special Mommy and Daughter time!

    Sunday-Date Night. Hubby and I went to Trulucks (a delicious splurge for our anniversary). Kids and the sitter had slow cooker black bean burritos.

    Monday-Spaghetti with Slow Cooker Meat Sauce, Broccoli, French Bread

    Tuesday-Steak Fajitas (with bell peppers from our garden), black beans

    Wednesday-Minestrone Soup, Bread




  18. Me and mini-me are talking about doing this menu plans. I find myself wasting too many groceries. I used to do them all the time then sort of stopped because I’m lazy. Need to start again.
