Week 398 Menu

How is it time to plan a menu already? I know I say this pretty much every week, but, goodness, time flies!

I think it’s supposed to be hot again this week. I am absolutely not complaining about California weather, but I sure wish our hot summer weather would come in the summer instead of September when school has started. I just want to jump in the pool, not run to school and soccer! I know, rough life. 😉

    Sat: Broccoli lasagna, garlic and chilli runner beans
    Sun: Dinner at Mum’s

  10. Last week I cleaned out my top freezer and found so many things in there. I had not idea! They were all hiding under bags of shredded zucchini. 🙂 There was so much stuff, I was able to make this week’s menu solely from items found in the freezer. I did have to buy milk and a few fresh fruits, but otherwise it is all from the freezer.


    Eat Out Leftovers/Sandwiches
    Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies
    Steak, mixed veggies, beets
    Chocolate Chili, corn bread muffins
    Shepherd’s pie, steam carrots
    Lunch out with friend


    Fruit, hard boiled eggs
    Shredded pork with spaghetti sauce, rice, corn
    Black Bean Soup, cornbread muffins
    Supper out (use coupons for free/cheap meal)
    Curry beef and vegetables, rice

  11. Monday: Breakfast Nachos, Avocados and Fresh Veggies
    Tuesday: Machaca Burritos, Fresh Fruit
    Wednesday: Pork Pie and Corn
    Thursday: Bay Scallops Risotto and Broccoli
    Friday: Arancini and Green Beans
    Saturday: Out To Eat
    Sunday: Pork and Beans and Salad

  12. Sunday: BBQ chicken pizza, fried rice and salad

    Monday: Vegetable lasagna

    Tuesday: Spicy chicken nachos

    Wednesday: Pasta and meatballs 

    Thursday: Leftovers

    Friday, Saturday: grandparents in town 

  13. You inspired me to start doing this. But K just started back to school so we’re not all filled in yet. But I put up a calendar on the fridge for the whole month, then everyone got a different colour sticky pad. They can post requests and we can move things around depending on what her school hours are like. It’s a work in progress.

    Tuesday: Pulled Pork
    Wednesday: Not sure
    Thursday: Pizza
    Friday: Not sure
    Saturday: Eat out
    Sunday: Pot Roast

    See, work in progress but we finally started. Thanks for the push to do this again. I did menu plans right up till they went to university, then all organization flew out the window as mom went “I’m done”. Ha.

    Friday – Grilled Steak & Sweet Potato
    Saturday – OUT for Dinner ?
    Sunday – Chicken Corn Chowder
