Week 402 Menu

What? It’s time to plan another menu? So help me.

Apparently I’m back to my old slacker ways with a couple of carry-over items from last week’s menu. I’m much more comfortable with that, when I get so responsible and organized it just doesn’t feel right. 😉

Turkey Sandwiches with Cranberry and Cream Cheese
– Fruit and chips

– Lemon Pepper Chicken (recipe to come)
– Veggie and Rice

– Stefania’s Braised Chicken
– Rice and salad

– Leftovers

– Nate and I are going to see Lorde – SO excited.
– Kids get mac & cheese 😉

– I am going with a friend to see George Winston…also excited for that!
– Nate and Owen will eat out, the girls have a sleepover!

– Breakfast for dinner: Waffles & Scrambled Eggs
– Fresh fruit

    Sunday – pizza made with leftovers!
    Monday – lamb stew in the slow cooker
    Tuesday – spaghetti and sausage with salad
    Wednesday – chicken with roasted brussels sprouts
    Thursday – leftovers
    Friday – out
    Saturday – tbd

    Sunday- Turkey and basmati rice pilaf
    Monday- Lentils, sweet potatoes, spinach chili on polenta
    Tuesday- Chicken Marsala + almond green beans
    Wednesday- Night out with a friend. My boys will have to fend for themselves!
    Thursday- South Indian farro with carrots and peas
    Friday- Teriyaki Chicken + rice + broccoli

  3. Thanks for reminding me it’s Cranberry Season! Pumpkin has left Cranberry in the dust the last couple years! 🙂

    Sunday: Homemade chicken soup, cauliflower rice, and baguette
    Monday: Cheesy, chili mac (adding some spicy ground beef to the mac & cheese I made this weekend)
    Tuesday: Dragon noodles (didn’t get to them last week)
    Wednesday: Meatballs and marinara with veggies
    Thursday: Leftovers
    Friday – Saturday: Trip to grandparents for Columbus Day weekend

    I’ve only planned the menu for part of the week–Junior has a bunch of appts, and I’m sure we’ll get take-out a couple days, and I don’t want to buy food I’m not going to make.

    Grilled Ahi Tuna Sandwiches

    Tortellini Veggie Soup
    Garlic Toast

    Phils BBQ to go (late appt for Junior, and I’m picking Phils up for a get-together my dad has, so we’ll just order extra for us)

    Tamale Pie
    Green Salad


    Pasta or something easy

    Out to eat

    Sunday – Salmon, baked potatoes, broccoli
    Monday – Ranch chicken legs and thighs in crockpot, buttered noodles, green beans (Found a large bag of chicken quarters in the freezer so this is the beginning of our chicken week)
    Tuesday – Buffalo chicken wraps
    Wednesday – Chicken alfredo with mushrooms and veggies over campanelle pasta, garlic bread
    Thursday – Pizza, salad
    Friday – Buffalo Chicken mac and cheese
    Saturday – Chicken rice soup, grilled cheese sandwiches

    This is a crazy week; it is our annual Fall Festival ( so we might go down there one evening; soccer dinner Tuesday night, soccer game Wednesday night (start of sectionals), and I haven’t even looked at Thursday or Friday yet! so some of these meals may carryover to next week.

    Chicken pot pie
    BLTs, mac & cheese, broccoli
    chicken Taco soup, cornbread
    Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans
    Taco salad
    Chicken Cordon Bleu rolls (new recipe) veggies

    Sun: spaghetti & turkey meatballs, salad, garlic bread
    Mon:: salmon, new potatoes, green beans
    Tues: turkey & spinach tacos
    Wed: tortellini in vodka sauce, salad
    Thurs: leftovers
    Fri: takeout
    Sat: Oktoberfest party- brats, potato salad, green salad, soft pretzels and a chili cook off!

    Mon: Spaghetti & sausage, salad
    Tue – Wed: Business Travel
    Thu: Salmon, green beans
    Fri: Tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches
    Sat: Temple/Tulsa game & then find somewhere for dinner in Philly

    Mon- Red Beans and Rice, Salad and French bread
    Tues- Taco Pizza and Quesadillas
    Wed- Greek Gyros and Cottage Fries ( world cuisine Wednesday)
    Thurs- Meatloaf Muffins, Mashed Potatoes, Corn and Green Beans and rolls
    Fri- Steak and Baked Potato, Salad and Asparagus
    Sat- Zoo Day… pizza
    Sun- Roast Beast, Mashed Taters, Corn and Broccoli

    Mon: Potato and rosemary pizza, salad
    Tue: Roasted cherry tomatoes with eggs and bread
    Wed: Sausage, leek and potato hotpot, broccoli
    Thur: Salad with goat’s cheese toasts
    Fri: Chicken club wraps, potato wedges
    Sat: Meatballs with tomato sauce and polenta, salad
    Sun: Dinner at Mum’s, taking harvest fruit tart (David Lebovitz)

  11. Monday – Tortellini with Kale & Walnut Pesto
    Tuesday – 10 minute Beef, Broccoli & Green Bean Stir Fry
    Wednesday – Grilled Salmon with Vegetable Quinoa
    Thursday – Lamb Cutlets with Sweet Potato Mash and veggies
    Friday – Chicken Pilar & Pappadums
    Saturday – One Tray baked fish & veggies

    We are trying 4 new recipes this week, marked with asterisks. Actually 5, but the 5th one was a sudden change Sunday morning, per DH’s request, so didn’t make it onto the ‘official’ meal plan. That one turned out okay, I thought it was too heavy on the vinegar, so hoping the rest turn out well also.

    *Spinach Faralle, steamed carrots

    Sun – steak & shrimp kebobs
    Mon – turkey chili
    Tue – salad with leftover steak kebob
    Wed – portabello lasagnas
    Thu – leftover chili
    Fri – eat up whatever we have in the fridge since we are going to philadephia Saturday – Wednesday. Anyone been there ? any suggestions of things to do in the rain 🙁

    Sunday — mustard salmon, couscous, sauted random vegetables
    Monday — eggs baked on tomato sauce

    Friday: Crab Enchiladas and Mexican Chopped Salad
    Saturday: Riders in Chaps
    Sunday: General Tso’s Chicken and Peas
