Week 418 Weekly Menu

I did way too good of a job following my menu last week…now I have to actually think about what to cook this week. Hate that! Okay, I suppose it’s a good thing, but still. 😉 Here goes!

– Super Bowl Sunday! GO PATRIOTS!!!!
– We will have some family visiting this weekend and I can’t wait! I’m not completely sure what we’re eating, but I think it will probably involve Buffalo Wings, Sweet Chex Mix, 7-Layer Dip, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Chili, Lots of Chips, Onion Dip…sound good?

    Thurs — pasta w/ meat sauce (freezer)

    Monday – Roast Chicken, mashed potatoes and a veggie
    Tuesday – salmon, french fries and salad

    Thursday – beef stew
    Friday – out

    Sunday: pretending it’s summer before the big snowstorm coming to the Northeast! Grilled steak, baked potatoes and roasted asparagus
    Monday: chicken tikka masala, rice, green beans
    Tuesday: crockpot baby back ribs, oven fries, roasted cauliflower
    Wednesday: ham, bean and rice soup with side salad and crusty bread
    Thursday: broiled salmon, broccoli, rice
    Friday: pizza night
    Saturday: dinner with the Inlaws!

    Wednesday -Hamburgers & corn on the cob
    Thursday – Pizza, salad
    Friday – Salmon & orzo w/spinach
    Saturday – Leftovers

    Monday: Yorkshire pudding with cranberry sauce

    Tuesday: Chicken carnitas (peer pressure after seeing several menus last week!)

    Wednesday: Chicken nuggets and roasted brussel sprouts

    Thursday: Chicken noodle soup in the slow cooker (6yo is cooking!)

    Friday: Leftovers

    Saturday: “Souper” Saturday at church

    Tuesday: Chicken Alfredo Baked Ziti and garlic bread
    Wednesday: Sweet and Smoky Kansas City Ribs and french fries
    Thursday: Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad with Light Caesar Dressing
    Friday: Sesame Chicken Fingers with Spicy Orange Dipping Sauce and broccoli
    Saturday: Chicken Cauliflower Casserole
    Sunday: Fingerling Potatoes w/Sweet Chili Sauce and fried eggs

  9. I keep forgetting football season isn’t over yet, haha! Maybe I’m in denial from losing in fantasy football so badly this year. Ugh!

    If the rest of the week goes like today, I will be extremely glad to have a food plan in place; all my energy was sucked up elsewhere.

    4. Vegetable Lentil Stew*, Grandmother’s Buttermilk Cornbread

    6. Falafel, quinoa salad

    I actually have carryovers from last week (so rare!), but I need ideas for a couple days this week. So far, for this week, I have:

    Sunday: Pancakes with homemade fruit sauce (my oldest “baby” turned 13(!!!) on Sunday and this is what he wanted for dinner. it was good!)
    Monday: Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Ruffles with Onion Dip, Salad, Pie
    Tuesday: Hawaiian Haystacks
    Wednesday: Baked Potatoes
    Thursday: Grilled chicken sandwiches (topped with swiss cheese & grilled pineapple on wheat buns)
    Friday: 13 year old Birthday Party. So far he has invited pretty much his entire grade so I’m thinking lots of pizza and chips and soda. Heaven help me! 😛
    Saturday: ??? Probably Detox!! 😉
    Sunday: ???

    As I’m writing this on Tuesday, and I see how crazy the weather is back east, I hope your family is safe!!
