Week 419 Weekly Menu

I only have one thing to say before we get to the meal plan…GO PATS! TOM BRADY 4EVAH! Oh, wait. I have two things to say. Super Bowl is the new Thanksgiving. We have family coming to town and tons of recipes to make. The only (okay, not only) difference? It’s rude NOT to watch TV while you eat!

Here’s this week’s plan!

– Kai Pa Lo (Thai chicken stew – trying a recipe in the Penzey’s catalog)
– Rice and spring rolls

Creamy Broccoli and Chicken Pasta
– Salad and garlic bread

– Leftovers

Naan Pizzas

– Take out night

– Breakfast for Dinner: Yorkshire Pudding
– Fresh fruit

    GO PATS!

    Looks like another snow day for us tomorrow too…

    Sat — baked chicken pieces, spinach risotto
    Sun — super bowl party, bringing roasted beet hummus & spinach hummus with homemade pita bread
    Mon — tortelloni primavera
    Tuesday — chicken sausage and spinach hot pockets, baked fries
    Wed — homemade pizza
    Thurs — soup from freezer, bread
    Fri — bfd

  2. We have 15″ of snow on the ground so far….12 more hours of snow predicted. Yeehaw! I’m out of town this week, and have cooked ahead for the rest of the family.

    Sunday: Seared duck breast, roasted potatoes, and rice
    Monday: Bagel dogs
    Tuesday: Potato soup and grilled cheese
    Wednesday: Lettuce cups with chicken carnitas and fixin’s
    Thursday: Pizza
    Friday: Leftovers
    Saturday: Out

  3. Monday: Chicken and Rice and Corn (my son picked this for his birthday dinner choice)
    Tuesday: Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans
    Wednesday: Angel Hair with Bacon and Tomatoes and Salad
    Thursday: Homemade Mac n Cheese and Broccoli
    Friday: Patty Melts and Fresh Veggies
    Saturday: Birthday Party Pizza 🙂
    Sunday: Left Overs

    Sunday – chili w/toppings, veggie tray, fruit
    Monday – spaghetti, corn, strawberries & raspberries
    Tuesday – macaroni & cheese, homemade chicken strips, carrots, grapes
    Wednesday – lasagna, broccoli, pears
    Thursday – pizza party for my middle daughter’s birthday with all her friends
    Friday – our girls are going to a sweetheart dinner & dance (it’s like a daddy/daughter dance), and our youngest & I are going to a benefit dinner
    Saturday – family birthday party for my daughter: we’ll be serving pulled pork sandwiches, crock pot mac & cheese, fruit and veggies
    Sunday – knephla soup, mmmmm

    Sunday – Super Bowl party foods
    Monday- veggie and black bean burritos with cilantro lime rice ( Two Peas and their pod recipe)
    Tuesday- trader joes mahi burgers win homemade mngo and pineapple salsa and blue corn chips
    Wednesday- beef barley soup with rolls
    Thursday- bride chicken thighs with carrots and potatoes, cornbread
    Friday- ranch pork chops, green beans
    Saturday – tbd or out

    We don’t care who wins it but REALLY glad that Jerome Bettis finally made it to the Hall Of Fame!! Steeler fans here!
    Lots of repeats from last week since something either came up or I found some things that needed used up last week.

    Sunday – Stuffed pork chop, crispy cheese and bacon potatoes, green beans with bacon
    Monday – Turkey potpie
    Tuesday – Salmon, orzo w/spinach, applesauce
    Wednesday – Turkey, spinach and orzo soup(leftover from Tuesday), grilled cheese sandwiches
    Thursday – Chicken & cheese ravioli w/alfredo sauce, garlic rolls, salad
    Friday – Cheeseburgers, corn on the cob
    Saturday – Leftovers

  10. The super bowl is quite the food event! I’m not that into football, but I love watching the commercials and eating the snacks! 🙂
