Week 423 Weekly Menu

Hello everyone! This week was better than the previous week and I actually made everything I planned – woohoo! That means, though, that I have to think up all new things to make this week. Darnit! 😉 For those of you who have been checking in on how I’m feeling, I’m definitely doing better after the epic fall (i.e. the bugtastrophe!), although it turns out I gave myself a mild concussion. Honestly, I’d rather have that than a broken jaw, so life is good! (And, yes, I am taking it easy…promise!) Menu time!

  3. I’m glad you’re feeling better! We’ve been mainlining episodes of House of Cards, Season 3. Loving it!! Another week of traveling for work. Fridge/freezer will be loaded up for the rest of the fam.

    Sunday: Fish sticks, roasted Brussel sprouts, and fried pickles

    Monday: Chicken nuggets and pretzel bread 

    Tuesday: Black beans, rice, and cornbread

    Wednesday: Baked pasta

    Thursday: Pizzas

    Friday: Leftovers

    Glad to hear you are doing better but please give yourself time to recoup!! Thinking maybe the boozy beef stew might make you feel better, atleast for a little while. lol

    Glad to hear your feeling better! And it’s snowing… Again… In Massachusetts. We may break a record tonight actually.

    I bought 1 chicken this week and am determined to get 3 full meals out of it.

  9. Bugtastrophe concussion…I think that’s akin to the baseball player who missed a year because a sneeze threw his back out 🙂 Seriously, glad you weren’t more injured.

    Sunday-Kids had pizza…hubby and I have “at home date night” on Sundays. Salami, cheese, dried fruit, and fresh french bread with balsamic dipping sauce.

    Monday-Red Beans and Rice with Cornbread

    Tuesday-Pasta all Amatriciana, Green Salad, French Bread


    Thursday-Minestrone Soup from the Freezer (it may be Pasta e Fagioli…we’ll see when I defrost it), Rolls

    Friday-Meatball Sandwiches, Chips

    Saturday-Out to Eat

    My mother in law passed away last week. I never went grocery shopping, didn’t even look at my menu, we travelled, and overall did not eat well at all.

    I will try to get back on track this week.

    a concussion! yikes! don’t feel too embarrassed – i got a mild concussion in january when i hit my head on the rear door of our van (in the wal-mart parking lot, no less). it was a cold day and the door didn’t open all the way (to give my head clearance) and i ran smack into it, hard! at least you have a more honorable reason for a concussion. mine’s just embarrassing 😉 glad you are recovering!!

    • my dad walked into a sign in a parking garage once and hit so hard he blacked out – he’s really tall. 😉 I guess the moral of the story is it happens to the best of us, eh? 🙂
