Hi Bonnie. I use this recipe:
http://www.cinnamonspiceandeverythingnice.com/crockpot-pumpkin-chicken-chili/
I cut it down a bit to 1 cup of chicken broth and 1 1/2 cans of beans because I use a smaller crock pot.
Looks good! It’s going on the menu next week! Thanks for the inspiration.
Kim: I made the chili tonight. It was a HUGE hit! I will cut down on the liquids next time,…but there will certainly be a next time!
Thanks for sharing.

Jane — any recommendation on finding a good hoagie roll in town?
i WISH! I’m constantly trying new rolls and not finding that perfect, soft white roll you get at a good sub shop. I’ll let you know if I do, though! (we have been using the pretzel hot dog buns from Sprouts sometimes for this recipe and, while different, it’s delicious!)
Monday: shrimp pasta and garlic bread
Tuesday: going out for dinner for hamburgers
Wednesday: Jamie’s Incredible Sicilian Eggplant Stew w/Couscous, Baby Capers, Olives, and Tomatoes
Thursday: Stuffed Bake Portobello Mushrooms and rice a roni

Happy ‘Festival of the Good Footballers?’ I like those alternative phrases. We were supposed to go to a party tonight, but it was cancelled on account of bronchitis (theirs, not ours,….thank God!).

Monday: Pumpkin muffins
Tuesday: General Tso’s chicken and rice

Friday: My birthday dinner!! (anniversary of my 29th)
Saturday: Undecided…girls night
that’s a great alternative name – haha!
They still have a super bowl when the Patriots don’t play?! Lol…. Go Panthers!

After feeling like I gave a lot of time last week to new recipes, I feel the desire to stick to simpler ones this week. I am still trying 2 new recipes, but this time they are soup and so much less time consuming than doing an oven version of smoking meat.
Lunch:
1. Eat out
2. Salad
3. Chocolate chili
4. Party – Sandwiches, fruit, dessert
5. Pizza
6. Curry and rice
7. New Recipe
Supper:
1. Super Bowl Party/jam and cheese sandwiches
2. Tomato soup/freezer leftovers
3. Butternut Squash Soup (new recipe)
4. Freezer leftovers/tomato soup
5. Hearty Lentil Soup (new recipe)
6. Salad
7. Leftovers
experimenting is fun…but definitely more work! although, how did that smoking experiment go?1?
