Week 501 Weekly Menu

First off, I want to thank you all for the incredibly kind things you said in the comments last week on the 500th menu. It does my heart good to know that the weekly meal plans and recipes I share are actually helping people and that I’m not the only one benefitting from the TWFD community. Much love to all and thank you!

School starts for us this week, so we’re moving from our footloose and fancy free summer schedule to a real routine. Planning the weekly dinner menu seems like a good way to kick the week off!

– Chicken on the grill
– Rice and caesar salad

– Brats with peppers and onions

– Tacos (with Cora’s ground beef recipe!)

– Leftovers

Homemade pizza night (flavors: margherita and honey goat cheese)

– Eat out night

– Breakfast for dinner – omelets and smoothies

    I’ve been MIA with moving activities and I missed your 500th menu commemoration. I’ve been with you for a long time, and you are a HUGE reason my menus are organized, interesting, and healthy every week. Thanks for keeping me accountable. And, my family thanks you too! 🙂

    I’m commuting from MI back to IL so things have been crazy (understatement). So, we have two sets of menus! For the family, I cooked up a big slow cooker of carnitas before I left. Here’s the dad & kid-friendly menu:
    – Nachos with carnitas
    – Pulled chicken, BBQ sandwiches
    – Broccoli, chicken, and rice
    – Homemade pizza
    – Leftovers

    In my bachelorette apartment, I’ll be cooking:
    – Curry quinoa salad with white beans and apples
    Cauliflower mushroom crumble
    – Roasted pepper/tomato soup with homemade croutons
    – Lots of leftovers

    Sun: Crab cakes, baked fries, broccoli slaw
    Mon: Pesto chicken, garlic & grape tomato salad
    Tue: Egg & green olive salad sandwiches, carrot sticks
    Wed: Bow tie pasta with shrimp & peas in Parmesan sauce, salad
    Thu: Baked garlic chicken, red potatoes, salad
    Fri: English muffin pizzas
    Sat: At lake house with family- we’ll cook something wonderful

    Sunday: Nachos and Guacamole and Fresh Salsa

    Mon – Tacos
    Tue – Grilled tri tip, salad
    Wed – Pesto grilled chicken, corn & tomato salad
    Thu – leftovers
    Fri – Pizza
    Sat – out for dinner

    Tues – Baked Ziti, Salad
    Wed – BBQ Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli
    Thurs – Tuesday – Going on our last vacation/trip for the Summer

    Wednesday – stir fry with shrimp

    Saturday – leftovers

    Mon – Chicken Fiesta Pasta
    Tue – Pizza and Salad
    Wed – Meatballs, Crunchy Oven Potatoes, Peas, and Gravy
    Thu – Stout Chili with Rice
    Fri – Leftovers
    Sat – Pepperoni Lasagna Rolls and Salad

    Mon: Picked up Chick-fil-a
    Tues: Steak Salad
    Wed: Shrimp Fajitas & Borracho Beans
    Thurs: Shepard Style Pork Chops & Roasted Mushrooms
    Fri: Out
    Sat: Out with the fam

    Tu: grilled halibut w/ lemon-herb butter/broccoli& cheese rice

    W: creamy tomato soup w/ tortellini/breadsticks

    Th: tailgating in SD at Chargers vs 49ers game… grilled chicken Italian sausages with peppers& onions/beer brats & onions/corn-feta salad/watermelon/chicken wings & strips/bday cake (it’s my husband’s bday!)

    F: Back to School Dance…PJ Pizza Party, so pizza & lemonade for dinner!

    Sa: mom in town visiting and she wants to cook for us…yay!

    Su:. Labor Day BBQ… grilling salmon and tri tip and everyone else is bringing apps, sides, & desserts.

    Friday – Margarita Pizza, salad
    Saturday – Smoked sausage fried rice
