Dear Blog,
Are you feeling neglected? Well, that’s because you are. But I still love you!
Sincerely,
Jane
Oh my goodness, friends. Life is kicking my butt. I am barely getting meal plans together at this point, hence the late posting! I want to thank you loyal menu sharers in particular for commenting each week with your menus – they are truly so helpful and inspirational!
Okay, here is my quick and dirty menu for this week…which will probably totally not happen but at least I’m trying!
MONDAY:
– Corner Bakery Cafe…again. (Free kids meals rule!)
TUESDAY:
– French Toast
WEDNESDAY:
– Beef Stroganoff (from Costco)
– Glazed Carrots
THURSDAY:
– Leftovers
FRIDAY:
– Birthday dinner! We are going to see Rogue One and then Birthday Girl #1 has requested takeout burgers eaten in the living room watching Gilmore Girls. Her birthday cake will look like a hamburger.
SATURDAY:
– Birthday party! We’re doing pizza takeout to fuel a fun-filled sleepover for Birthday Girl #2 of the week!
SUNDAY:
– Honestly, no clue what we’ll eat on Sunday. I just need to survive two birthdays first and then think about that!
Wish me luck on surviving the next week! And, as usual, please share your dinner plans in the comments!
Dear Jane,
We still love you even though you are “doing life.”
Love,
Your Menu Friends

Life looks a little like that around our place two — no birthdays, but school concerts, parties, company, plays, etc., etc. It’s fun, but menu planning takes a back seat!
Sun – Party
Mon – Quiche (party leftovers) and salad (school concert)
Tue – Salami, cheese, veggies, crackers (more party leftovers :)) before heading to movie theater for broadcast of George Takei’s Allegiance
Wed – Bean & cheese burritos, salad (rehearsal)
Thu – Soup & Sandwich (school play)
Fri – Pizza (yay! Winter break)
Sat – out with friends (and company for the weekend!)
it would be nice if everyone could just not eat during the holidays, that would be much easier! 😉 thanks, barbara!

I’m eating a lot of soft foods after oral surgery to remove wisdom teeth. One was impacted and the other wasn’t erupted far enough out, lots of pain and hurts to chew.
So far this week I’ve made a slow cooker stew of meat and vegetables.
Tomorrow I plan on more mashed potato and I’ll add carrots and cheese to it.
Oral surgeon says I can chew now but it still hurts, taking it as easy as possible.
I was going to say, you need to check out a post I have about soft foods…and saw you commented there! yay! 🙂 good luck with everything, sending pain-free vibes your way!
