Week 521 Weekly Menu

Happy Sunday! We’re cruising right through January and I am so happy that I am cooking so much more again. Seriously, it makes me so happy! Here’s to keeping it up as sports get going again…I have faith I can do it! (Thinking positively makes it so, right?) Here’s this week’s menu…

– I’m going to Disneyland with friends (no kids!), Nate is going to take the kids out to a local restaurant that is doing a fundraiser for Owen’s school 🙂

Baked Ziti (I’m going to cut the meet and try adding fresh mozzarella to the mix)

– Leftovers

Sausage, Pepper & Onion Hoagies

– Chili

    T: Roasted vegetable stuffed shells, sautéed greens
    W: Clean out freezer soups in individual portions. Pasta Fagioli, Chicken & gnocchi or Turkey & rice with garlic bread. Didn’t realize I had so much soup!
    T: Grilled steakhouse salads & beach bread
    F: Family coming to visit. Have prepared appetizers for freezer. Not sure what else.

    Again, another great looking menu.

    Last week here at La Ferme Bon Rea, we somehow didn’t end up cooking our weekly menu. We ended up with two unplanned nights out for dinner, and ended up eating a lot of leftovers. So, three of my meals from last week are transferring to this week. Though, I have to say, we are eating so much more of the food in our fridge and a lot less is going to waste, which is a great improvement.

    So, here’s this week’s plans:

    M: French Onion Soup Stuffed Meatloaf with salad and steamed veggies (carry-over from last week)
    T: Chicken and Potatoes w/Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce w/salad (another carry-over)
    W: Chimchurri Chicken & Potatoes w/ Cesar Salad (last carry-over)
    T: Thai Green Curry Meatballs w/rice & salad
    F: Pizza night (kids, leftovers mom & dad?)
    S: Smoked beef roast with garlic mushrooms and salad
    S: Dinner Out – Buddy’s 60th Birthday party.

    The onions are camelizing on the stove right now and I’m going to make the meatloaf so it’s ready to pop in the oven when the hubby and boy-child get home from work.

    Hi Jane! I still read your menus, but haven’t posted for a long time. Needing to be more organized with baby #2. Here’s week’s plan. Feels like I’m cheating a bit with Sun Basket.

    Sun Leftover Chinese Take Out
    Mon Crockpot Chicken Orzo Soup with Lemon and Dill, Bagged Salad, Sourdough Bread (leftovers will be lunches)
    Tues Sun Basket Tofu Laksa Bowls
    Wed Sun Basket Braised Chickpeas and Carrots with Quinoa and Yogurt
    Thurs Trader Joe’s Frozen Chicken Potstickers, Rice, Green Beans
    Fri Sun Basket Sisilian Rigatoni with Cauliflower, Oranges, Pinenuts and Currents
    Sat Friends House for Fondue Dinner (yay!)
