Week 544 Menu

Hi, friends! So, it’s a non-planning week for me. In case you missed last week’s post, I’m giving myself a break this summer…if a meal plan happens, great! If not, great! But, as promised, I’m still getting a weekly post up so you all can keep on sharing your menus. And please do that!

Last week was Nate’s birthday and I made a cake that WILL be shared with you this week. We can’t keep the recipe to ourselves. Better than the cake, though, was celebrating with our three kids. It’s amazing how excited they were for our little party of five.

    Sun: Tilapia tacos
    Mon: Flounder, corn on the cob, salad
    Tue: Caesar salad with shrimp
    Wed: Broiled marinated chicken cutlets, mixed veggies
    Thu: Veggie burgers, veggie chips
    Fri: Salmon, green beans
    Sat: Chinese take out

    Happy birthday, Nate!

    Mon: Husband cooks- Grilled ribeye, potato gratin, salad
    Tues: Corn risotto stuffed poblanos & salad
    Wed: Husband cooks- BLT & chips
    Thurs: Beef stuffed tomatoes & salad
    Fri: Flounder with chive butter, cherry tomato gratin & roasted balsamic carrots
    Sat: Out with friends
    Sun: Smoked pork ribs, potato salad & coleslaw

    Not much of a menu for me this week either…too much summer fun to be had!

    M: out to dinner

    Tu: staycation to LA…day #1 Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood sign hike, La Brea Tar Pits

    W: day #2 Knott’s Soak City

    Th: back home… probably veggie burgers and fries

    F: brisket…not sure about the sides yet

    Sa: SD Fair

    Su: Storm baseball game

    • so many nights this week the kids were just having sooooo much fun, I couldn’t bear to tear them away to go cook something. you’re right, too much summer fun to be had! 🙂

      also….you’re lucky your staycation is LA – so many amazing things there! have fun!

    crockpot Garlic Parmesan chicken (new recipe), veggies
    Gorton’s fish, mac & cheese

  5. I’m glad you’re enjoying summer and birthdays. So much fun!!! But, oh my goodness. What a week it’s been for our family. My father-in-law passed last week after a very aggressive, very fast bout of cancer. Then, today, my husband broke his collarbone in a mountain biking accident!!! Oy vey. I can certainly tell you the rest of our summer will be INTERESTING if nothing else.

    Sunday: Dinner at friends’ house…we’re bringing wine
    Monday: Baked mac and cheese
    Tuesday: Pad Thai (Moosewood recipe)
    Wednesday: Bagel Dogs
    Thursday: Chicken noodle soup
    Friday: Leftovers
    Saturday: Out

    Garlic basil shrimp, Salad
    No bun Cheeseburgers, corn on the cob, cucumbers and onions in oil and vinegar
    Chicken Parmesan casserole (new recipe), roasted broccoli
    Fried eggs, sausage, fried potatoes and onions
    Grilled steak, salad, baked sweet potatoes

    Tuesday: Beef and Brussels Sprouts Cheesy Pasta
    Wednesday: Vegetarian Pesto Pasta and Garlic Bread and Peas
    Thursday: Beef Chow Fun Stir Fried Rice Noodles and Broccoli
    Friday: Sticky Braised Pork and Sharp Cheddar Polenta and Corn
    Saturday: Crock Pot Chipotle Lime Chicken Tostadas with Guacamole and Fresh Salsa
    Sunday: Left Overs
