Week 550 Weekly Menu

Hello from beautiful New Hampshire! We are visiting my in-laws, who recently purchased a circa 1770s farmhouse with a perfect view of Mt. Monadnock. Owen informed us on arriving that he is sad this is just vacation because we don’t get to stay here all the time. I have to agree with Owen, this home is a little slice of heaven on earth.

This week we are for sure having pasta with the bolognese recipe I have shared on the blog, Grammy’s orange chicken as well as dinner at Kimball Farm one night. Beyond that we don’t know what we’re eating, but that seems like some pretty good planning for being in vacation mode. 😉

    Life is good when you can gaze at Mt. Monadnock, be with family, and be on vacation :-)!

    Life is good for me this week down here in PA because Wegmans launched grocery delivery via Instacart. I tried it for the first time and LOVED it! I had 2 extra hours on Saturday while someone shopped for all the groceries on my list and then delivered them right to my front door. How good is that? So good that I made my menu one day earlier!

    Sat: Salmon, green beans, sliced peaches
    Sun: Blueberry salad with grilled chicken
    Mon: Chicken parmesan over pasta, salad
    Tue: Cod nuggets, peas, salad
    Wed: English muffin pizzas
    Thu: Scallops, corn, watermelon
    Fri: Musikfest
    Sat: Musikfest

    Mon – Grilled Pork Chops, Pasta Salad, Green Salad
    Tues – Brats, Mac & Cheese, Carrots & Celery w/Ranch
    Wed – Steak Quesadillas, Chips & Guac, Salad
    Thurs – BLT’s, Chips

    Friday through Monday we will be taking a quick trip out of town. Probably the last before school starts.

    We’re having a heat wave in the northwest, so we’re doing lots of grilling, salads, and quick meals to get out of the hot kitchen fast!

    Sun – Grilled steaks, potato wedges, salad
    Mon – Fajita-stuffed baked sweet potatoes
    Tue – BLT Salad w/chicken and avocado
    Wed – Grilled sausage & peppers, polenta
    Thu – Pasta w/pesto, salad
    Fri – Pizza
    Sat – Quesadillas or nacho bar

  5. Yay, NH!! Have fun! Our kids are in Florida for the week with grandparents. Ahhhh, peace and quiet! 🙂

    Sunday: Paella and salad (ATK recipe)
    Monday: Mexican Sweet Potato Casserole with tortilla chips
    Tuesday: Kale super salad with chicken
    Wednesday: Pesto pasta (with homemade pesto!!!)
    Thursday: Meatballs and marinara and Cauliflower Mushroom Crumble
    Friday: Leftovers
    Saturday: Out

    Tuesday: Skillet Fish Tacos and Mexican Street Corn
    Wednesday: Sausage Breakfast Sandwiches, Crispy Roasted Potatoes and Fresh Fruit
    Thursday: Chinese Chicken Salad and Pork Egg Rolls
    Friday: Brick Grilled Chicken and Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts
    Saturday: Cheesy Jalapeno Tuna Casserole and Peas
    Sunday: Pork Chops, Hassleback Potatoes and Roasted Broccoli

    Tu: meeting at my house and everyone is bringing appetizers & beverages…I’m making jalapeño popper pinwheels & bacon-wrapped dates

    W: winery event with the girls…my guys are having spaghetti and bread sticks

    Th: chicken parmesan stuffed zucchini boats w/ salad

    F: l/o or pizza delivery

    Sa: Back to School BBQ at a friend’s… we’re bringing Southwest coleslaw & garlic bread

    Su: grilled salmon w/ roasted red pepper sauce & couscous
