For this trip we will be driving a Toyota Sequoia (thank you, Toyota!). We’ve been toying with the idea of getting something other than a minivan and have been curious about the Sequoia, so I am excited to see how we like it! Minivans are super sexy and cool, though, so the Sequoia has its work cut out for it.

Thank you all in advance for your menus! Have a great week!

I’m not organized enough to plan a week out like many of you ladies! But just a tip on something I discovered yesterday.
Have you ever grilled a flaky fish on the BBQ and struggled with pieces sticking, burning or falling through? Tried many things over the years like using a metal mesh overlay, but I discovered something really cool yesterday that I like much better! (Plus scrubbing sticky fish skin off of those screens can be torturous) Sprouts market has cedar boards in the meat case display. Apparently they are to be thrown away after a single use so I thought that seemed kind of wasteful but then noticed the very thin cedar paper next to it – there are eight pieces in a package and you wrap your fish in and tie it with string provided so not only does it protect fish from falling through it gives it a beautiful smoky flavor. And then you just toss the thin paper like wood away. FYI Should never use aluminum foil on the grill either. Studies show that using for heating food is toxic.

    • we were planning to have salmon tonight but I needed some potatoes…read your comment RIGHT before I left the house for Sprouts. woohoo! I bought the cedar sheets and they were awesome. We just laid the salmon right on top, didn’t wrap the fish or anything, worked wonderfully. thank you for commenting, sharon!
