Week 692 Weekly Menu

Well, last week was a week. I did get to the store last weekend, but then didn’t do anything that was on the menu. Lots of random cooking, eating out and whatnot to survive a really draining week. The biggest casualty was the bag of bean sprouts we never used, so I consider life won.Thank goodness for non-perishable foods and the freezer. All of this to say there is a reason why this week’s menu looks a lot like last week’s. 😉 

Week 692 Weekly Dinner Menu: Monday - Naan pizzas; Tuesday - Asian Spinach Pasta Salad; Wednesday - Carnitas Tacos; Thursday - BLATs; Friday - Leftovers; Saturday - Local Takeout; Sunday - Grill Night




  • Carnitas Tacos (slow cooker will be in the garage all day)

  • Grill Night (whatever we find that looks good at the store that day)

    Tues: Spanish saffron chicken and rice
    Wed: Shrimp and lobster sauce, sautéed snow peas and rice
    Thurs: leftovers
    Fri: leftovers
    Sat: eat out

    I feel you… how is it mid-September already?

    Mon – Mac & cheese, broccoli
    Tues – Buffalo chicken salad
    Weds – Brinner! Crockpot banana bread w/ homemade raspberry jam, bacon, scrambled eggs
    Thurs – Hot dogs in the style of our small hometown in upstate NY: meat sauce, raw white onion, spicy brown mustard; watermelon
    Fri – local takeout
    Sat – Chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes, green beans
    Sun – Grilled steak, corn, salad

  5. Sunday: Garlic honey pork chops and roasted Brussels sprouts
    Monday: Chana masala, roasted cauliflower
    Tuesday: Pad Thai with chicken
    Wednesday: Burgers on the grill and butternut squash
    Thursday: Vegetarian chili in the slow cooker and cornbread
    Friday: Pizzas!
    Saturday: Takeout!

    We were out of town earlier this week so I am late with our menu, but here it is 🙂

    Monday: Stove Top Mac and Cheese and Garden Veggies

    Tuesday: Sausage Pesto Pasta and Spinach Salad

    Wednesday: Chicken Fajita Skillet Pasta with Fruits and Veggies

    Thursday: Oven Pizzas and Salad

    Friday: Yellow Chicken and Green Beans

    Saturday: Chorizo Breakfast Burritos with Fresh Salsa and Avocado

    Sunday: Fried Chicken Sandwiches with Salad

    The banana bread recipe is from a friend’s grandmother and comes out perfect every time

    1/2 cup butter (soft)
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    4-5 ripe bananas
    3 tbs milk
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp baking soda

    Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs 1 at a time. Mash bananas with milk and add to mix. Combine flour & baking soda and add to mix. Pour into greased and floured insert for small (2 qt) crock pot; cover and bake on low for 2-2.5 hours.
