Busy Body Book Giveaway!

No food today. My brain is still in vacation mode. And we’re still eating leftovers. But you know I love you and have to give you something, even during these lazy hazy crazy days of, uh, winter. Since 2011 is just a few days away, I thought we could talk calendars. Sound good? Good.

I’m pretty picky about my calendar/organizer. I like to be able to see a week at a time but still have enough space to write lots of stuff on each day. And it has to be PAPER. I’ve tried Palm Pilots, iPhones, online calendars, you name it. As techy as my life may be, I rely on good old pen and paper for tracking my day to day calendar. I had a Franklin Covey organizer years ago, but it was really just more than I needed. So, I generally browse the bookstore each December hoping to find something semi-decent.

AboutΒ a year ago, I received a Busy Body Book at a blogging event. Of course I approached it with skepticism, like I do all calendars. But I hadn’t bought a planner yet for 2010, so I figured I’d give it a try.

I LOVE IT. Here’s why:

  • The grid layout is super handy
  • I can see a week at a time and there’s plenty of room for notes/lists/appointments/etc
  • The cover design is super cute and has a nice, thick plastic cover, making it nice and sturdy
  • It’s spiral bound
  • There’s a bookmark that you can move from week to week

A few weeks ago I realized I was almost out of calendar! ACK! I emailed the owner of the company (wonderful Joan), begged for a few copies (1 for me, 3 for you), and a few days later my beautiful new Busy Body Book showed up on my doorstep. And I’m happy and organized once again!

And, yes, I did say I drummed up three copies for you! This post isΒ a giveaway, just like the title says! Three of you lucky people will each receive your own Busy Body Book…and you’ll get to choose the cover style! Like all my giveaways, just leave a comment on this post, one per person. You have until Midnight PT on Monday, January 3 to add your comment. Your comment can be anything, but this might be a fun chance to take sides on the paper versus electronic calendar debate. I feel a battle coming on! The randomly-selected winners will be announced on January 4.

Good Luck!

Hi! I have tried electronic calendars, too, but always come back to paper. Yet, have not found one that seems to work quite right. This one seems really great! Thanks for offering it!

  2. 2
    Liz Kaseno

I just can’t feel the love for any form of electronic planner. I must have my old fashioned day planner (Filofax).

  3. 3

Oh my word, I love this!
I just recently tried synching my Google calendar to my Blackberry to my outlook…it was CHAOS! EVERYTHING froze! It was then that I turned back to my trusty paper calendar book (which is almost done) and realized that paper and pencil are the ONLY way to go for keeping track of everything!

As a matter of fact, I was in my OB’s office today for an appointment and we went to schedule my next one and I didn’t have my calendar. The receptionist suggested I check my bb and I told her I don’t even both with the calendar on there…it’s useless! LOVE MY PAPER!!

  4. 4

Would love to win this πŸ™‚ Trying to make 2011 my Organization Year! A place for everything, and everything in its place.

  5. 5

jane, I am guilty of being the perpetual list maker. i make lists in i cal, evernote, a weekly planner on my desk and sticky notes can be found all over my house. embarrassing, I know! I would love a new system. thanks so much for sharing!

  6. 6
    Jess Green

My goal for 2011 is to get super-organized. This might help:)

  7. 7

The good old paper vs electronic calendar debate. I used a paper calendar until just recently when I got a black berry. I am adjusting to the Blackberry calendar with some fuss but the busy body calendar sure looks like it would be more handy!

  8. 8

I’m a big fan of paper! I’ve tried online calendars and I do use my phone for reminder alarms. My brain is just wired in a way that makes seeing something written down makes it more official and memorable.

  9. 9
    Ali in WA

Looks fancy! I’m like you–I’ve tried organizing through techie means, but pen and paper is just so much easier for me to do. With two little hoodlums, it’s easier for me to write something on paper than it is to type!

  10. I’m straddling the two and it makes me twice as flaky. I’d love to just try one and keep it all in one spot!

  11. 11

I prefer paper. I have tried both the computer and a planner, even at the same time, but I continue to go back to a paper version. Each year, I hunt for the perfect format. Could this be it, I hope so. Thanks for posting.

  12. I absaloutly go back to paper. A paper calander allowes me to use it as my ‘to do’ daily check list and I get more done, more efficiently every day I look at it. I use the reminder on my phone when I am really needing to make sure not to miss something that I may overlook on my paper calender should I get side tracked with a task.

  13. 13

I’ve tried lots of electronics and Franklin Coveys and I can’t keep up with anything. I’d love to try one of these to see if my scatterbrained mind can keep up with it…

  14. 14
    Auntie Deb

Okay, I just love anything that organizes! I have a weakness for Office Max, The Container Store, Holds Everything, and any other store that helps put life in order!!!!

  15. 15

I’ve tried a handful of electronic calendars and always go back to paper planners. Something about my own handwriting and ability to doodle and arrow as I please makes me more organized!

  16. 16

I go back and forth because I have not found the perfect solution for me. Maybe this will be it!!

  17. 17

I’m a list person and this sounds like I’ll be able to do that right on my calendar. Nice!

  18. I’ll weigh in on the electronic vs. paper planner debate. Most recently, I have been using the Google calendar linked to my email. It works, except when I am in a meeting and need to check my calendar. (This is sometimes helpful, in that I cannot always commit until I have checked my calendar.) This planner looks intriguing…I like the feature with the different columns.

  19. 19

totally what i need to help with my resolution to be more organized!

  20. 20

Just got engaged, and will soon have hubby + son. Now would be a great time to start getting everyone on one calendar–mine!

  21. I really, really need to get organized and I need something funtional, efficient and cute!!!! This fits the bill!

  22. 22
    Natalee Maynes

I was seriously just thinking i needed one of these and then, viola, saw your giveaway! These are so cute!

  23. 23

Love this!!! I’ve tried to go exclusively electronic- but I guess the writer in me still cravea putting pen to paper. Since I don’t have a good paper one mens I have list of sticky notes all over. They need a home- don’t you think? Yeah me too! πŸ˜‰

  24. 24
    Rob Maynes

my lovely wife would look good carrying around one of these lovely planners.

  25. 25

    I am a busy body!

  26. 26

I completely abuse my outlook calendar (with the snooze function) and I think it would be healthy to go back to a good ol’ fashioned paper calendar where I have to address my appointments and to-dos! Thanks for a great giveaway!

  27. 27

I’ve been trying hard to work with digital only calendars, but it just doesn’t do it for me either. I have been printing a weekly calendar/to do list that I made in Word for the past couple of months. It has been working a little better. This looks perfect and very similar to what I made. Thanks for the opportunity!

  28. 28
    Amy W

I’m a big time organizer, planner and list maker. I have yet to find a perfect planner and would love to try this one out!

  29. 29
    Nikki CB

I have my iPod Touch now, and am trying to stick with it, but invariably also am always jotting lists and dates and phone numbers on bits of paper that I then have to try not to lose, and put into the iPod! I’ve been back and forth throughout the years with paper vs. electronic. Maybe both? πŸ˜‰

  30. 30
    Jenny D.

I’ve been trying to convert to a digital calendar, but so far it’s not working so well. I rely on my paper calendar 100%!

  31. 31
    Rachel Ream

I’ve been to Staples, Target and Kepler’s this year looking for the right paper calendar…couldn’t find what I wanted, perhaps because I just might get lucky this time and be your winner! =)

  32. 32

I have tried all types of calendars too, but always come back to paper. I also like how this one seems to have space for everything. I like/need to have my appointments, kids appointments, husbands work traveling and menus all in one place. I would love to try this one!

  33. 33

I would so love to win. I have always used paper calendars and haven’t bought one yet!

  34. 34

    I would love this!!!

  35. All I know is that as I get older, my mind is not the steel trap it used to be and I have too much going on in my life to rely on my memory. This looks like a great paper calendar and since I’m definitely old school, pen and paper works the best! Thanks for the giveaway!

  36. 36

Love the look of this calendar!! I use a combo of Outlook (because I am on email all day for work), my iPhone calendar and paper. I could never completely stop using a paper calendar! This one looks fabulous!!!

  37. 37

Haven’t tried either! Would love one of these!

  38. 38

I would love a new calendar for the new year. It has been a while since I have used one, but with one of my kids in school now and the meetings, and volunteer days, and work, and classes, family stuff, blah, blah, blah… I can no longer remember it all and need some help!

  39. 39
    Kim H

These calendars look awesome! I have tried so many different ways to organize my life events. Maybe the BusyBody will be just the thing I need.

  40. 40
    Brittany Riesenberg

  41. 41

I’m SOOOO with you about the paper thing! There’s just something about writing it down and being able to see it at a moments notice. It would be great to win one! Thanks for such a great give-away!

  42. 42
    Elisa Clawson

Every once in a while a new fancy, schmancy electronic calendar option pops up, and I try them all, but always come back to a paper and pencil! It always works!! And these are soo cute!

  43. 43
    Jen Seines

I LOVE my tech stuff, but admit there is nothing like pen and ink to paper. Would LOVE to keep a planner like this in my purse to keep track of personal thoughts and goals. Looks like it might be just right for this.

  44. 44

I use ekectronic for work things, out if necessity, but there us nothing so satisfying as writing things down, especially if you have enough colored pens for different categories. Which I do. πŸ™‚

  45. 45

I don’t own an electronic calendar, unless there’s one with my email that I don’t know about. This little book looks great!

  46. 46

How perfect! I hope your solution would also work well for me. I would loveto try it!

  47. 47

Hi! I would LOVE to win one of these! I gave up my paper calendar last year, trying to go green and all. I tried to do it all on my iPhone, but as much as I love & rely on that thing for just about everything else (including cooking & blogging), i’ve realized that I simply miss the pleasure of filling in a new calendar book each December, ready to face the new year with all my important dates, and studying the international area codes, conversion chart, and time zone map … (not sure if the Busy Body ones have all of that but I’d love to find out!)

  48. 48
    Mrs. C

I love paper calendars but have a really hard time finding one that I like. There is never enough room to write dates and details – the blocks always seem to be too small. The Busy Body Book looks like a winner and hopefully I will be one too!

  49. 49

Paper all the way! I can’t ever seem to get any electronic calendar to work the way I want it to.

  50. 50

I always loose track of things when I try to keep an electronic calendar. Paper’s the only thing that works for me. Old school, I guess.

  51. Paper, paper, paper!!! I must write EVERYTHING down or I am completely lost. Tried the electronic thing & it just isn’t for me. Nothing beats a pen & paper!

  52. 52
    Cherri White

I like both – but I use paper almost exclusively. After my Palm died I went back to paper. I like the ability to see everything at a glance. It is easy to keep track of what I need to do. I like the color and style of what you have come up with.

  53. 53

For years, I was exclusively electronic, but lately I”ve been drifting back towards paper. There’s something about a calendar that only I have access to, as opposed to anyone who might be able to hack in.

  54. 54

I love the layout of this calendar! It looks like it has so much room! With 4 kids, I need that!

  55. 55

Please, please, pretty please consider me for this awesome giveaway.
I’m a super busy Mom of an active 11 year old, busy 2.5 year old, and baby on the way in April. Since turning 40, I’ve had the worst timing keeping everything, everyone straight! This looks like a paper calendar/organizer/”bible” Everyone needs for 2011.
    Thank you kindly!

  56. 56

I need to have paper. And I’m with you on needing some room too. The Busy Body Book looks excellent.

  57. 57

I completely agree with the preference for paper lists! It just feels better to be able to physically cross things off, rather than hitting delete. It feels great to see how much you’ve actually accomplished.

  58. 58

I’m not sure if this is a world wide give away, but if it’s not open for European readers, just don’t let me win πŸ™‚ Anyway I’m also very picky about calendars, and haven’t got anyone for 2011 yet.

  59. 59

oh boy, I’d love any help to be more organized. pick me!

  60. 60

What a great looking calendar. I am always trying new calendars to get myself more organized. Thanks for sharing!

  61. Loving the book πŸ™‚ I’ve tried every kind of agendas, electronic or paper, but i always end up forgetting them all πŸ™ i prefer paper, though (i love to find the book years later :P).

    Happy new year! πŸ˜€

  62. 62

Looks like a great calendar. I also need the paper week-at-a-glance type with lots of room for to-do lists. Hope I win this one. Thanks!

  63. 63

I always delete the appts. by accident on the ipod. Ooops!! Paper for me too!
    Love this one!

  64. 64

    so cute!

  65. 65

paper calendars are the only way to go for me too!

  66. 66

That looks like a fantastic calendar! It would be such a useful prize to win! I hope I’m chosen! :c)

  67. 68

Lists! I see room for lists! Oh I would love to win this calendar. For the past umpteen years I have carried a spiral notebook – for my LISTS – and a spiral calendar. The thought of having all in one is dizzying! My girls get so exasperated with me working on my lists, but they know…if it’s not on the list it doesn’t get done! Happy New Year!

  68. 69

Great calendar! I am always in search of the right one….this looks like it would fit my family’s busy life style.

  69. 70

    I’m a new dad – I could use this!

  70. 71
    Lisa B.

I am like you, I can’t find the right calendar- nothing electronic works quite right either like you said. ugh! I am always searching..determined to find a better way than sticky notes- Ha!

  71. 72
    Megan K.

Always love the paper calendars, the only way to keep my family on track and know who has what when :). My husband calls me a busy body so this would be perfect!

  72. I’m with you on the paper. I’ve tried online calendars since I’m always on my computer but they’re just not the same. Plus it looks like there would be plenty of room for my growing family. We have so much going on I have to write it down so I don’t forget.

  73. 74

A paper planner is a MUST even for this stay-at-home Mom!! I have to be able to write things down in order to remember all the chaos!!

  74. 75
    Lynn BB

Looks like a great way to get organized!

  75. 76
    Kathy J.

I had a Palm Pilot for a couple of years. I liked it until the battery died and now it wont keep a charge. I want to get all my info back on paper before I lose it all completely. Nothing like a good old paper planner! I live by my lists! Thanks for the great give-away!

  76. I am a perfectionist. Organization is a must. What a great giveaway! πŸ™‚

  77. 78

    Paper is a must.

  78. 79

Love this calendar. Even if I don’t win I am going to order one.

  79. 80

    Lovely and functional! (fingers crossed)

  80. I am so OLD SCHOOL!! I have an IPhone and will not use any electronic list maker or calendar. I prefer to have a jumbo calendar (curtesy of Staples) in my purse at all times so I can whip it out a anytime. I have to admit I am always the last person to spend my money on and this calendar would so be it. It would be so nice to have the space to make lists or reminders so that I don’t have to have binder clips or paper clips holding that information! Crossing my fingers!!

  81. 82

I love this calendar!!! I have been a devote Franklin Covey planner person for years and I don’t go anywhere without it! I am all for the paper method! This calendar would be great!

  82. 83

My goal is to be more organized in the new year! I think this would help!

  83. 84

I agree. I still use a paper calendar also.

  84. 85

My husband would love it if I was more organized in 2011!

  85. 86

Oooo … bring organization to 2011. Looks fab.

  86. 87
    Becki W

I have to completely agree with you! I am all techy but when it comes to a daily organizer…it HAS to be paper!

  87. 88

Yes please! I do love a good organizer!

  88. 89

    I am definitely a paper calendarer. I don’t think that’s a word πŸ™‚
Those books are much cuter than any electronic one.

  89. 90

I’ve gone back and forth between paper and electronic, but always fall back to a paper organizer! I wrote out my 2011 goals last night and this organizer would help those become a reality πŸ™‚

  90. 91

    Me please!

  91. 92

I am a “lister”. Always have lists for stuff. Am wanting to try and organize a monthly dinner calendar and have not found anything that might work. This looks perfect!

  92. 93

I do both paper and electronic calendars! I have a paper one hanging in the kitchen, one at work and one in my purse. Then I use my lap top and cell phone as well. That way I am sure not to miss anything!

  93. 94

    I’d love to have one!

  94. lists, calendars and magazines feel better in paper the rest can be electronic…

  95. 96

I need a better system! I’ve been using an e calendar on my laptop & my Itouch. Problem is if you don’t update both of them neither are correct! This has caused me to double booker completely forget appointments! Now when I book an event with my relatives the ask me if i’m sure i’ve checked ALL of my calendars! A little embarrassing!!!!

  96. 97
    Lauren Mealy

I’ve been in search of the perfect planner for this year. I would love to try this one!

  97. 98

Paper planners! I’ve tried the tech options, good old paper is best!

  98. 99
    Jean von B

I had a 2 year calendar which will run out the day after tomorrow. Techie calendars….bleah!! Good for work stuff but not for life stuff! Would love to have one of those organizers!

  99. 100

I keep a planning calendar on the wall in our kitchen. I made my own on the computer to keep track of my personal days, but I printed it out to have in “solid” form. I’m just too cheap to buy one!!

  100. 101

I’m with you– I love a paper calendar– and this looks like it fits my qualifications to be a winner!

  101. 102

My life will continue to be in shambles if I don’t win this.

  102. 103

    Paper all the way!!

  103. 104

This would make life a lot easier with the busy household I have. Definitely need more organization this new year.

  104. 105

I use my electronic calendar (Outlook outputted to my iPad) for work, but for home stuff there is just something about a paper calendar. This one looks very cool!

  105. 106

Ahhh- I totally want this! And I have been looking for ages for a good calendar. If I don’t win I may just buy one myself! Thanks for the giveaway πŸ™‚

  106. 107

Electronic calendar on my work computer is nice enough but I’m still mightily attached to paper – something I can physically open, write in and refer to. Call me ‘old fashioned’ but paper still rates with me.

  107. 108

I love this calendar! Paper calendars are the BEST!

  108. 109

This would really help this busy working mama!

  109. 110

oooh…. looks like a good one (i’m very picky with my planners too…. still haven’t found “the one”)

  110. 111

This would be a wonderful gift to help me stay organized!

  111. 112

    I would LOVE one!!

  112. 113
    Jenny S.

    Count me in!

  113. 114

This would be perfect, thanks for the chance!

  114. 115

Paper all the way! I love a good calendar. Thanks!

  115. 116

I, too prefer a paper organizer to the online versions, I know I will always have it with me. My college used to make a pretty awesome one and this one looks to be similar but larger, which would be nice.

  116. 117

I love that planner….looks very functional! I also still use a paper planner instead of something electronic. It feels good to be able to cross off the items as I complete them!

  117. 118

I LOVE paper and pen for just about everything, even if I end up transferring it to the computer. It just works for my brain to physically write something down. These look like adorable planners, and- like you- I had a minor panic attack when I realized it was time to try to find a new planner for a new year!

  118. I was saying how 2011 is going to be more organized for me πŸ™‚ I’m usually pretty good at this, but somehow, 2010 turned into a very unorganized year. Thanks, Jane!

  119. 120

This is just adorable! I love to carry around a paper organizer where I keep track of lists: movies to see, books to read, recipes to try, etc. This would be amazing for 2011!

  120. 121

I’ve tried to be organized by using my smartphone…but I can’t do it…I always come back to paper!

  121. 2010 was a great year of improves, wins and fails but I never lost the hope.

2011 will be a new beggining, to make it even better.
    (FOR ME by MYSELF)

My priority will be to stay organized to be more productive. :o)

  122. 123
    shanna boatler

if this helps me get organized….i’ll take it!!!
    thanks and happy new year!!

  123. 124

I love it! No matter how many fabulous electronic devices we have nothing can take the place of writing down the calendar items!!

  124. I am a paper gal! I love looking back at my previous year calendar/organizer – it’s almost like a diary for me.

  125. 126

I would really love something like this! I use both electronic and a good ol’ fashioned calendar, and I know this would fit in nicely too.

  126. 127

I have to do both..between work and the kids’ schedules, I juggle between the two. They aren’t duplicates of each other, either!

  127. 128

iCal for me, but I’ll try anything for free.

  128. 129

Love the look of this new organizer. I am definitely a paper girl and would love to start my new year with this beauty!

  129. 130

I would love a calendar like this!

  130. 131

This looks so helpful! Thanks for begging extras!

  131. 132

Paper calendars/organizers win in my world. I love that this one is pretty on the outside. I would totally put aside my old “at-a-glance” for this one! Happy New Year!

  132. 133

My husband is the biggest google calendars and things fan. He keeps everything on them. I don’t. I dislike electronic calendars of any sort.

  133. 134
    Nancy from Mass

I love pen to paper! I only use my electronic calendar for work meetings…and even then I still write them in my day planner.
Same thing with writing a letter. Sure it’s cheaper to send an email, but think of the joy receiving an actual piece of mail is!

  134. 135
    Lindsey P

With being in grad school full-time and working full-time, I could really use this! Crossing my fingers!

  135. Hi Jane! I already have a Busy Body Book calendar that I bought a couple of months ago, so I’m all set. I just wanted to chime in and say how much I LOVE this calendar as well. In fact, I’m filling it out today with all my important 2011 dates. Having 3 kids doing different things means a lot of craziness and it is so key having the different columns in this calendar.

  136. 137
    Auntie Barb

    I love paper!

  137. 138
    Anne L

My vote is for paper! I write everything down, I would love to win this calendar so I can keep everything in one place πŸ™‚

  138. I love a paper calendar. I use one every year. I’d love to win one of these. Happy New Year, Jane!

  139. 140

Oh my gosh, maybe this would keep me organized!!!!

  140. 141

Paper is best for the personal organizer – but on on-line calendar is great for organizing with the spouse. It’s a race to fill up the social apts first because once it’s on our Google calendar, the other person is going to have to make new plans!

  141. I got one of these last year and I loved it! I was a teacher before I decided to stay home with my kids and it feels just like the planners I used to use to plan my school day. Oh, and I’m paper all the way!

  142. 143

Since my 5 year old Palm pilot died this year, I finally felt good about going back to paper. I love my paper calendar notebook. If I win this one though I know people who really need some help!

  143. 144

    I’m a paper calendar gal.

I LOVE these. I never win online contests. This would be a great first.

  144. 145

This would really come in handy with school, homework, dances, vacation dates. I would love to win.

  145. 146

Definitely paper!! I am a paper and pen kinda’ gal.

  146. 147

I love paper calendars, this would be great to have, thanks for the chance to win.

  147. 148

those are super cute- I hope I win πŸ™‚

  148. 149

Oooo, LOVE this little calendar! Just recently discovered the grid format and dying to try it out. And my calendar MUST be paper. It’s no good if it’s not hold-able, touch-able, scribble-able…. Here’s to a perfectly organized 2011!

  149. 150

    Just what I need!

  150. 151

Much as I try to go fully electronic on the calendar, like many I keep coming back to paper. These are so cute, would love one!

  151. 152
    Kari C.

I think paper is the best! Thanks for the giveaway!

  152. 153

I feel like I could have written this post. I LOVE my electronics, but I need to be able to physically hold and write on my planner / calendar.

  153. 154

Oh how I love a good planner!!! I search and search each year for the perfect one!

  154. 155

I feel the same way about calendars. And I haven’t yet found one I like. This looks great.

  155. Totally paper over here! And the bookmark idea is great!

  156. 157

Jane that planner looks absolutely perfect!! like you, i also can not keep track of anything unless it’s on paper. juggling work, college and a 2 year old with an unorganized life is a VERY bad idea!

  157. 158
    Kristin T

    I love paper.

  158. 159

I would love a fresh new calendar to help me get organized! With work and school plus everything else a good calendar is so important. If I’m organized the house will be in order too!

  159. Although I love my iphone….I still crave and need the comfort of a paper planner. It just helps!

  160. 161
    Kathy P

Awesome giveaway…this would be very handy!!

  161. 162
    Carla B

What a thoughtful giveaway! Helpful for us ALL to get motivated to be organized.
    Happy 2011!!

  162. oh how i love my planner! these ones are so cute!

  163. 164

I can’t make up my mind what I like better. I try to use my phone but it seems that it takes longer to enter things in than it does for me to write it into a paper calendar. But paper calendars can be so bulky to carry around especially when you’ve already got your purse, wallet, coupons and everything for your kids.

  164. 165

I use electronic media for lists and alarms, but I enjoy using a paper calendar for my personal business. I also enjoy looking back through old calendars, remembering particular events and occasions over the years.

  165. 166

That looks like the perfect calendar for meal planning and other household notes. I’m always looking for my notebook and end up with 2-3 different household notebooks/meal planning. I just found your site and I’m anxious to nose around and find out more about it. Thanks

  166. 167

Happy new years to you and the fam!!

  167. 168

I have been looking for a new calendar….thanks for the recommendation.

  168. 169
    Whitney Isetta

Hilarious how many people comment when something free is offered πŸ™‚ myself included I suppose. However, as amazing as those calendars look, I’m not interested. I’m an all digital I-phone calendar kind of gal. I user the evernote app to keep my endless lists and meal plans and recipes. I can totally appreciate you slightly anal-retentive OCD way of searching for appropriate calendar. I understand and relate to that as I am the same way about most things. And, once I find something that works I stick with it to the bitter end (I.e. Using the same facial lotion for the last 20 years). Glad you found something that works for you. Keep up the great work, I love reading your blog.

  169. 170
    Michelle Machado

Gotta be paper for me too.

  170. Oh, that looks awesome! I think I need that! πŸ™‚

  171. 172

I have to have paper! I think something about writing it down helps me remember, too!

  172. 173

I am definitely with you on the paper organizer. I tried using a Palm Pilot once and it just did NOT work out for me. This planner looks awesome!!!

  173. 174
    Sarah L

I am SO in need of a new planner!!

  174. 175

I still like to use a paper organizer. Thanks!

  175. 176

I love, love paper calendars! and have used one for years…..until last year. I received a Blackberry! yes, I have been trying to be computer savy all year and everything was going great until…we adopted our second child. My life has spun out of control these last few months. I love my BB and still plug all my appts into it, but I have found myself missing dates. The BB is a useful tool. It gives you a nice scheduled, alarm warning 15 MINUTES before the actual appt. If I haven’t checked into my calendar the nite before and that little alarm goes off, there is NO WAY I will make that appt, especially if I need a babysitter for my new, 2 yr old. So….2011 will propel me….BACKwards so to speak…. I will go back to my old ways and I would love to get organized with one of these “Busy Body” calendars. Thank you!

  176. 177

i have tired all different kinds of Calendars and would love to try this kind. New year’s resolution is to get me organized!

  177. 178

Well, I’ve always loved paper…there’s just something about writing everything down. Unfortunately, everything at work is electronic. And to keep track of my boyfriend, we share an electronic google calendar (which is pretty user friendly), plus I have a couple other misc electronic calendars floating around. But, I don’t have a bb or iphone or any way to actually check my calendars when I’m out and about. Not very useful. So, I’d really like to go back to paper; it’s so nice to be able to carry it around. Happy New Year!

  178. 179

paper all the way! sure, i have an electronic calendar attached to my e-mail, but the master copy is the paper calendar in the kitchen!

  179. 180

paper FTW! i’ve never been able to fully commit to an electronic method.

  180. 181

Definitely paper!! I really hope you choose ME!!!

  181. 182

I like to have my calendar in my ipod handy to add events on the go, but as soon as I get home they immediately go on my wall calendar. I have always preferred a paper calendar, I only use the electronic ones as a place to store the info until I can write it down. I would love to have a small handy calendar to go with me.

  182. 183

I like to have something physical to hold, rather than an electronic calendar. Trying to balance 3 roles (wife, student, employee) requires a quality, sophisticated calendar.

  183. 184
    T sara

After forgetting a few impotant things recently (like picture day at school!) I could use something to help stay organized. And paper calendars are definitely the best!

  184. 185
    Lisa Roussel

Paper for me too. I have the Iphone and love it, but I still want a place to write things down!

  185. 186

I’ve been using my iphone calendar/mac calendar/mobile me since they all sync together. I used to use a Franklin Covey but it was just too big/too much. This looks perfect because I love having a paper calendar!

  186. 187

I use both. I love having my phone app for on the go, but I have to have paper at home.

  187. 188
    Teresa R

Hook me up! Love it, need it!

  188. 189
    Wendy C

With a little one and one on the way, paper would be the way to go for me (my little one has broken/lost my phone more times then I’d like to count).

  189. 190

I would love this planner, this would really help me with planning out my meals which would help me save money.

  190. 191
    mel dahir

    paper, paper, paper!!!

  191. 192

Paper all the way. I like to be able to carry it with me…and check off those lists!

  192. 193

I love planners. I’ve tried them all too. Right now I’m using a large Student Planner that I got at Target in September. It’s nice to have a large week view to plan out dinner and family schedules.

  193. my dad loves franklin covey products but i prefer something simpler. looks fab!!

  194. 195

I agree, paper planners are the best.

  195. 196

love this give-a-way. I’m a list type of person for sure and as people stated above… paper planners are the best.

  196. 197

Paper planners are the way to go.

  197. 198

This would be so much better than all the scraps of paper I normally use-envelopes, backs of Christmas cards, mail flyers, etc. Maybe 2011 will be my year of organization. πŸ™‚

  198. 199

Im with you, I still use paper. πŸ™‚

    Happy New Year!!

  199. 200
    Sarah Boghosian

    I like a combination–keep all bases covered!

  200. I must have a paper planner! These look beautiful…Might have to buy one no matter what.

  201. 202

It’s fun to stop and look around your site. Love my lists and like to have the paper list, makes me feel like I’m actually getting something done. =)

  202. 203

I’ve tried so hard to move over to the electronic organizer, but I just can’t do it! Even if I have my Google Cal set up, I still have to keep everything in my Filofax. But I forgot to buy new Filofax pages for 2011, so maybe it’s time to try something new πŸ™‚ This planner looks awesome!

  203. My assistant gave me a calendar for 2011 that makes me laugh every time I look at it – Goats in Trees! Who knew that goats climb trees to get leaves? I’m introducing a new character in one of my books this year who raises goats, so 2011 will be The Year of the Goat. LOL

  204. 205

  205. 206

So lovely and helpful. i usually use a moleskine, they come in small sizes that fit in my pocket. THis looks great.

  206. 207
    Amanda Lewis

I love paper planners and those look GREAT!

  207. 208

I love the fact that an online calendar will shoot you a pop up window to remind you to do something, but since that only works when I’m on my computer, I’m all about the paper calendars!

  208. 209

The Busy Book looks awesome…just perfect for business use…I have a fragrance business and I am always writing myself notes, then loosing them….lol

  209. 210

My calendar is my lifeline. I cannot possibly remember all those appointments, bithdays and various activities my family is counting on me to remember without it. The Busy Book is calling me! Thanks and God Bless.

  210. 211

    I’ll give paper a try!

  211. 212

Wow..this “Busy Book” sounds fantastic, and cute! As a single and highly disorganized mom, I need something I can tote around and keep me in line on frantic days, which happen to be every day for me! Perhaps if I learn to be organized, my daughter will follow suit. I really, really struggle with this! πŸ™

Now, if you could just give me some advice on how to wake up on time every morning, I would be forever in your debt!

I’m praying for a husband, this organizer AND a reliable alarm clock in 2011!

    Happy New Year!

  212. I think I need a planner. I forgot to pick up my friend’s son from school on his Grandma’s funeral day. Big oops. I felt and still feel terrible about that. Happy 2011!

  213. 214

Me ME ME Pick Me. My family laughs at me but I am kind of an organization freak. I use to make my own planners every year. But this one looks fantastic. I too for my calendar needs rely on good old pen and paper!

  214. 215

I would love this! I agree with you, I can’t seem to use anything, but paper. I love to be able to see my week laid out before me.

  215. 216

Just found you while I was out surfing the net. Today is my clean day so this has been a nice break!! I love that planner and would LOVE it!!:)

  216. 217

Fingers crossed! What a wonderful tip though regardless of winning one or not. πŸ™‚

  217. 218

This sounds like just what I need! My 2011 resolution (like in 2010) is to organize my time better — and this could really help!

  218. 219

Since my kids are becoming more and more active, I think it’s about time I start keeping a calendar so I can keep track of their lives! Oh, and maybe mine too! Ok, and I’ll keep track of my husband’s life too!

  219. 220

Oh… I would love a Busy Body Book!!!

  220. 221

This looks fabulous!! I am looking for a new way to get organized and am definitely on the paper side of the paper vs. electronic debate. Fingers crossed!!

  221. 222

Ya know, I’ve been looking for a good planner!

  222. 223
    Crystal S.

I really need this…my number one goal for 2011 is to be organized!

  223. 224
    Casey B.

I feel that the electronic organizers can get pushed to the side like so many other million things you do on the computer. Having a separate place for planning helps to organize thoughts and have one place that you know you can go to to just plan.

  224. 225

I really like having an electronic calendar for my husband and I to use for day-to-day stuff but keep a paper calendar for planning month to month. I like the best of both worlds πŸ™‚

  225. 226

Last January I was diagnosed with A.D.D. at age 32. This January with your blog and winning the Busy Body Calendar my A.D.D. won’t have a chance.
I did mean to buy a notebook size calendar last January but kept getting distracted…LOL I bought a small checkbook size one in March and just found it when we moved last week with not a single thing filled in. I’m not gonna give up though…

  226. 227
    Melissa C.

Although I bring my computer and phone everywhere, I need to have a paper planner.

  227. 228
    Linda F

I am definitely a paper calendar person. This looks like a great planner/calendar. Thanks

  228. 229

I love calendars! I like paper calendars over electronic ones. I usually try more then one each year until I find one that works lol. thanks!

  229. 230

I want to use an electronic calendar, I really do. But, I cannot part with my paper calendar(s).

  230. 231

For work, I like electronic. But for home and managing the kids activities it has to be paper!
    This one looks really cool!

  231. 232

I’m with you Jane, good ol’ pencil and paper !

  232. 233

I love calendars! They help me keep track of the days.

  233. A paper calendar is the only economical, sensible way to go. Thanks for reinforcing this. I love polka dots and would love to have one of these! Thanks for the offer. Just wondered if you could feature my children’s book, Recipe and Craft Guide to Indonesia, on FoodPress. It has 10 simple recipes for kids to make of typical foods eaten in Indonesia, such as peanut sauce (eaten there like ketchup here) and Satay Ayam, a yummy chicken/veggie skewer dish. You can see more about it on my website/blog. Thanks!

  234. 235

PAPER all the way. It is always in my bag, couldn’t get through the day without it!

  235. 236

I love a good paper organizer. I haven’t been successful using any electronic versions.

  236. 237
    Cris Price

This looks like a wonderful calendar/organizer. My kids make fun of me for writing everything down on my calendar but it is the only way that I can keep everything running smoothly. Thank you for sharing this with us!

  237. 238

I just realized I need 21 books for my upcoming college semester – this organizer would be perfect to keep me sane! And I definitely think paper all the way. Something about writing things down helps me remember them better than typing them out.

  238. 239

would loooooove a cute organizer to help get 2011 started right!! Happy New Year, Jane!! Miss you!

  239. 240

Now this looks like a planner! Maybe even my husband can keep track of our plans with this. πŸ™‚

  240. 241

hmmmm… i can comment ANYTHING?! let’s see… well, um, i’m a happy keeper of my home with five offspring and a hunk of a man to help in my happiness. i’d like to win, so if you’d please randomly pick me i’d be tickled pink!
organization is great… organizational tools are better!
    happy holidays. . .

  241. 242

i totally have to agree- pen and paper are my choice all the time- i want something that doesn’t have to synch up with other things to keep current- if i don’t get one from you i may just have to order one for myself, but winning would be so much more fun!

  242. 243

I try to do it all electronically, but I really prefer pen and paper.

  243. 244
    Sara Padgett

Hands down paper for me. Would love to win this calendar!

  244. 245
    Sara W

    These look awesome! ; )

  245. 246

I MUCH prefer paper over electronic. These look cute!

  246. 247

I feel more organized already … Just by looking at them!

  247. 248

One of my favorite “traditions” is the annual hunt for the perfect planner. I didn’t have much luck this year…so far, I have purchased 2 and am still not happy. This one looks so perfect, so nice…I would love to try it!

  248. 249

This looks great. I’m a paper gal.

  249. 250

oh sheesh! even if i don’t win this, I should try it. Like my dad, I’m FOREVER looking for just the right planner. I’ve got a pretty decent one now, but it still isn’t perfect. Could this be it?

  250. 251

I actually do paper and digital. I need my big paper calendar at home to keep organized and write details, but I also put appointments on my iphone so that if I’m out and about and need to check something, I have my schedule handy.

  251. 252

Hey! This planner is awesome! I consider myself a planner addict (paper, not mobile…tried those but still rely on myself to pencil things in!). Crossing my fingers I get picked for one…if not, I will put in my own order! Thanks so much!

  252. 253

I’m ready for my new calendar too! Had a Mom Agenda last year and loved it but it was so expensive. I am so excited about the BBB! It looks perfect for me! Obviously I’m a paper calendar girl.

  253. 254

I LOVE this, so cute. There’s something comforting about writing down your life on paper πŸ™‚

  254. 255

This may help me finally be organized in 2011!

  255. 256

i have just spent a bunch of money at the container store trying to get my home organized! we just found out we are about to have our 3rd child, so any organizational help would be appreciated!!! i already feel overwhelmed with activities and need help with a good calendar system….i feel like i have tried everything!!!

  256. 257
    Lindsay R

    me please.

  257. I like both but something just feels right about writing down dates and events on paper.

  258. 259

I need a new planner. This one looks perfect!

  259. 260
    Wendy D

I just recently found your website and I love love love it! I am: a mom, a kindergarten teacher, Vacation Bible School director at our country church, in charge of presenting the children sermon each week, on multiple committees at school and a recent master’s degree recipient and now maybe a part time college adjunct professor. I am in desperate need of ‘one’ organizer as I juggle many different calendars for school, home and church. This might be ‘the’ organizer for me. I am looking forward to organizing my weekly menus and look forward to checking in weekly! I also cannot wait to try the homemade marshmallows – gonna pass these out at school as a welcome back to the second half of school. Thanks so much!

  260. 261

I would love to try this. Still trying to find what is perfect for me…

  261. 262

I love a paper calendar too, and it has to be both cute and functional. These look great and I would love to give them a try!

  262. 263

I’m a paper person. Calendars and to do lists must be something to hold, write on, cross off and look back on.

  263. 264

So cute! I feel the need for a paper planner as well. While I love technology and I’m somewhat of a tech nerd, there are some things I prefer to write out.

  264. 265

Paper calendars all the way! I like to cross things out πŸ™‚

  265. 266

I love your blog… I stumbled upon it looking for other busy moms searching to break the mundanity of making a dinner meal plan each week. Then, I read your planner offer and had to comment! I absolutely love having a paper calendar. When my pencil hits the paper… I feel an almost sense of control over life. I currently use familytimemine and really like it, but would love the layout of the busy body book… hope i’m chosen!

  266. 267
    Samira Hartje

I would love this planner! I like that the weeks are broken up and still plenty of room for to do lists on the side. Paper is a must for me too, and I can slide a nice sharp pencil in the spirals!

  267. 268

I too am a paper calendar freak – it doubles as a mind that I cannot lose as long as it’s tacked to the wall – so count me in.

  268. 269

I would love to recieve one of these planners. I am looking for motivation to really plan a menu for the week and stick to it.

  269. 270

Love! I’ve carried a MomAgenda for the past couple of years and have been looking for something new. I’m excited about this new find. Thank you! I’m going to hold out on a purchase for a couple of days…just in case I’m a lucky one.

  270. 271

i would love to try this planner/agenda.

  271. 272

Love the Busy Body refrigerator grid for weekly meal planning! This looks equally wonderful.

  272. 273

I use my google calendar synced to my blackberry. Except sometimes it doesn’t sync. And there’s no place to put the article I tore from the papers about a show I wanted to see, or the flyer for the sale I don’t want to miss. Only a paper planner can do that. I miss mine.

  273. 274

I love organization & I love your blog! This would be awesome!

  274. 275

    Paper calendars for me!

  275. 276

i’ve never gotten the hang of electronic. paper all the way!

  276. 277

I often use electronic stuff to help organise me… but always with the aim of committing it to paper after! So a bit odd really. I do like the new years excitment of a fresh diary!

  277. 278

would really love this I am a paper and pen list making fool
I always have a messy full calendar too
    looks great

  278. 279

My husband is constantly after me to use my eCalendar on my phone and/or computer. It’s not for me. I’m old school and love it. I’m looking for something where I can make notes and see what the week holds. This calendar is perfect (I hope I win one)!
On another note, I used to enjoy cooking but have fallen away over the years. 2011 is a great year to reintroduce myself to the kitchen and all its wonders. I’ll be checking out your blog often :-). Thanks.

  279. 280
    Casey Wright

I am the same way!! I only like using paper calendars. I think it was because I was a personal assistant for soooo long, now I just can’t seem to an electronic calendar. AND I have been looking for a great calendar for a long time, this one seems to be perfect! I would love to try it!!!

  280. 281
    Karen Peterson

Thanks for the chance to win! I love using my iPhone but paper still wins out most times

  281. 282

I like that paper calendars a lot better especially ones that I can carry with me!

  282. 283
    Vicki R.

Absolutely, 100%, Pro Paper for this momma when it comes to weekly & monthly BUT I do like having reminders pop up during the day on my computer about little things. And just like you, I am always in search of that perfect “format” as the end of the year approaches, hoping for a more organized life come January 1st! Thx for the highlight on Busy Body – they definitely look good for the price!

  283. 284

I love your blog and am excited to get back into meal planning this year now that my maternity leave is over. I too rely on a hand written calendar even though everything else in my life seem tone electronic!

  284. 285

I am SO excited to have found your website…it’s the kick I need to do more week long planning and shopping and get back into the swing of things, including crock potting because of my busy schedule of working so much and raising my 20 month old with my hubby. I had the same issue with a calendar that was just too much and one that was not quite enough. I’m excited to see this one. And while the e-calendar is great for collaborating with our family events, other things would be helpful to have written down in front of me at all times!

  285. 286

Love all the meal ideas each week. Really like the organizer..I’m looking for one for 2011! I like writing things down.

  286. 287

I use a combo. ical (synching my phone/computer) and then print it out weekly and post for the family to see. Each family member has their own color for activities. It works well for me!

  287. 288

I need a new planner. Nothing at the stores seem to be just right. This planner looks awesome. I will never go digital with my calendar. I love to cross things off my list!! I need to feel the sense of accomplishment!!

  288. 289

I agree…there’s something about writing it down that just seems to make me feel more organized. No matter how many electronic ways I’ve tried, I always go back to writing it down. I am super excited about these planners though – I’ve never seen anything like them! I need a revamp in so many ways…maybe kicking off the new year with a new planner will help!

  289. 290
    Jessica Z

I agree with the need for something written on paper…it’s a must for me. And with baby boy arriving just last week, I need all the organization I can get!

  290. 291

Paper all the way baby. And the week at a time thing looks perfect for my life. Hope I get to give it a try!

  291. 292

Gotta have the paper day planner, not only great for upcoming events and obligations…but it helps remember what I’ve done and when!

  292. 293

LOVE your blog! I came across it doing a search for weekly dinner recipe ideas. I am going to start following and hopefully it will inspire me to get better at planning weekly menus.
I LOVE the planner. I think it would help me to get better organized since I am doing all of the running around full time! It would also help me to count down the days until my husband comes back from Iraq. He’s been there since the end of September and is due home April 6th!!!! We CAN NOT wait! Happy New Year to you and crossing fingers I get these AWESOME planner!

This looks like a great organizer. I, too, need the paper not electronic organization….I use my blackberry and computer, but paper is the main/important/master planner for me….

Paper! Always. Although I’d prefer my method to be a little neater than post-its jammed all over my desk. And since I’m hoping to unplug more in 2011, more paper, I guess…

I’d love to have one of the busybody organizers. I don’t use the e-kind.

I NEED ONE. I suck at all things organization. I was just thinking the other day that I need to get a planner, but don’t know what kind to get. I remember using one in high school that I loved, but that was given to me from the school. pick me! pick me!!

My “life” is organized on paper, my work is organized electronically. For whatever reason, the two do not meet. I so need one of these today. I realized, that I don’t have one!

I love my Blackberry but I can’t seem to get organzied with it, I have really tried but I still find myself going back to paper lists of things to do, etc… This looks awesome and if I’m not lucky enough to win one, I will be purchasing one….although winning something will start 2011 off perfect!! Thanks for sharing.

I would love this! I love writing lists (mostly to cross off “accomplishments”) and need a new place for all my 2011 lists!

  304. 305

I tried using my phone to keep track of everything, but when I was a day late for my last dentist appt, I decided to go back to paper. These are really cute- would love to try this for 2011!

  305. Just stumbled across your blog!! LOVE IT!!

I like to have the whole week planned, but the holidays have thwarted my efforts. I need to get back on track, and this nifty book would help!

  308. 309

I had been using my phone as an organizer/calender and one day it slipped out of my hand and into the washing machine! there was no way to save ANYTHING. The sales guy tried to tell me about synching my new phone with a computer…but all I heard was “wah wha wha” (ya know, how the the adults sould on a Peanuts cartoon). I vowed to never use electronics to organize my life. I would love a new “old school” planner!

  310. 311

I can’t live without my paper calendar. I am always looking for a better format and size — this looks perfect!

  311. 312

I tried to be techy but always fall back to paper. I would love a planner!

  313. 314

Paper calendars are the BEST! Having the right pen to use in it is key, though.

  314. Oh I would adore this. i kid you not I have bought and taken back 3 planners because they just aren’t what I want…THIS is what I want!

My meal-planning can only improve from the current state of last minute panic for my fam of five. Good thing I made meal-planning a resolution for this year; now that I’ve written it down…I’m bound to succeed πŸ˜‰ Will be checking in through 2011!

  322. 323

This is just what I need!

  323. 324

I to spend a lot of time looking for the perfect calendar in my quest to become more organized every year. I tried the electronic route but my computer and phone calendars do not talk to each other and I keep losing my phone. Paper is the way to go!!

  324. I’m a paper girl. I’ve been burned by technological crashes/dead batteries one time too many to rely solely on my computer!

  325. 326

Time to get organized! Looking forward to trying a new system out

  326. 327

I am a big fan of paper and pencil. I have an IPhone and love it but do not like the calendar section. This sounds like just what I need to keep organized this year.

Just had to weigh in that I am super impressed that paper won out in the comments section here. I, personally, love the paper calendar…I just figured I was old school, but feel very refreshed to know that out of 329 of you (including Jane) how favored paper calendars are. Personally, I make my own in Word/Pages, so the layout is helpful for me to look at for future ideas.

  329. 330

I know I missed the deadline but I had to comment anyway. I have not been able to convert to an electronic calendar. At home I hang a desk calendar on my pantry door and use a different colored pen for each member of the family so I can easily let who has something going on during the week. I use a small calendar in my purse and still use the different colored pens. I like the extra space this calendar has.

  330. 331

Thank you for sharing this. I went to their website and bought one. I also bought one of the nondated calendars that has magnets on it so I can put in the fridge or somewhere. This will help me be so much more organized. I’m usually chaos.
