Week 153 Menu

Why does this peppermint bark from Trader Joe’s have to be so good? Darn you, Santa, for tempting me with such delicious stocking stuffers.

I am SO not ready to return to real life. After a few days of being a complete vegetable I’ve forgotten how to be productive. In fact, planning this menu is HARD work. 😉

– BBQ Chicken Salad (a restaurant called Croutons in San Diego has a really good BBQ chicken salad, I’m just going to download their menu and copy it)

– Homemade pizza

Pasta Primavera

– New Year’s Eve! Party at friends’ home

– Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup

– Eat out

– Shepherd’s Pie

I know many of you are probably also in vegetable mode like me…but if you have a menu for the week, please share! (Thank goodness I had your menus to browse from last week as I was completely out of ideas today!)

    Mon – Lamb and vegetable hot pot
    Tue – Spaghetti Bol
    Wed – Homemade salamon cakes with a fresh green and herb salad
    Thu – Homemade pizza (at 4year olds request she loves to cook)
    Fri – Steak and char grilled vegetables
    Sat – Chinese style pork spare ribs (yum)
    Sun – Wedding Anniversary – special dinner with menu still to be decided.

    Hope everyone had wonderful Christmas feasts and here is to many more inventive menu’s in 2010

    Tuesday: Roast Chicken with Giblet stuffing and Green Beans
    Wednesday: Mexican Lasagna and Corn
    Thursday: Stuffed Herb Chicken with Boursin Cheese and Salad
    Friday: Chicken Breasts with Paprika, Onions, and Cream and Peas
    Saturday: Spaghetti and Salad
    Sunday: Left Overs

    I received lots of new cook books for Christmas, I’m inspired to cook!

    Sunday- same as Saturday

  8. I’m glad I’m not the only one who is still not feeling the planning vibe yet. I’ve only been able to think of two days so far!

    M – homemade pasta w/ veggies in cream sauce
    T – rice & something
    W -??
    Th – Toshi Koshi soba and tempura
    F – eat out/ pizza
    S – Probably eating pickled foods(okazu) w/ family
    Sun – Breakfast for dinner(my favorite meal of the month) a la my honey

    Christmas continues on for another week with family at home, so here’s yet another belt busting week:
    M-Chicken tacos or fajitas
    T-Friends house
    F-Prime Rib
    S-Eating out
    S-non-fat, vegetarian for the next month to flush the system. Ehh.

  12. -Indian Butter Chicken
    -Broccoli Swiss and Ham Soup
    -Baked Pasta (forget what it’s called, but it’s penne with fontina and mascarpone, kinda like adult mac n cheese)

    Friday-burritos with black beans, rice and leftover pork
    Saturday-Cobb salad
    Sunday-Pasta with red sauce or cheese sauce for those who prefer that.

    We are still working on actually meal planning. So far it has been more of a “suggestion plan” than anything else. =P Hopefully Hubby and I will get this down before any kids come along, as it sure seems like things go easier (and far more healthy) when we actually follow it!

    W- Steak, corn on the cob, oranges
    T- Teriyaki chicken, steamed rice and veggies
    F- Chicken parmesan
    S- Red beans and rice
    S- Spaghetti with marinara
    M- Yaki onigiri (maybe for lunch instead) and something
    T- Senate bean soup and salad
