Week 203 Menu

Now these are what I call ingredients. Can you guess what crazy deliciousness I’m working on this week? Stay tuned…

I have a BUSY week coming up…in addition to cooking bunches of treats with the above, we have oodles of school and work holiday parties and BOTH of our girls’ birthdays! Hope I survive it all!

– Tilapia filets (didn’t get to last week, will share the recipe after I cook them)

– Work holiday party, complete with dinner


– Eating out for one of the birthdays! The birthday girl was told she could have whatever kind of food she wants…the big request? Hot dogs! 🙂

– Eat out because we have birthday celebrating all afternoon and I won’t have time to cook!

    Are you making 7 layer bars?
    Friday night we ordered pizza. The new Pizza Hut Cheesy Bites crust. Not so great though. It wasn’t very hot and fresh by the time we got it so it was nothing like the commercial 🙁
    Saturday–the kids and I ate corn dogs after a crazy busy day. I feel like a bad mom so far this week!
    Sunday– Raley Goulash
    Monday– Chicken Strips and pasta salad
    Tuesday– Tilapia (not sure how I’m cooking it yet) and noodles
    Wednesday– Chicken Enchiladas
    Thursday– Hoppin John

  2. Wheeee! Bring on the sugar. As far as my Meal Plan:
    Sunday:Cornbread, Beans and Coleslaw
    Monday:Hoisin Shrimp Stir Fry
    Tuesday:cleaning up the fridge/salads/sandwiches/leftovers…because:
    Wednesday:we leave for holiday travels!!To be sure, packed snacks will be plentiful…I’m planning on apples n oranges, hummus and veggies..a few sandwiches…homemade snack mix…and that should ’bout get us to our destination! 🙂

    mon: breaded steak, sweet potato polenta, italian green beans with tomatoes
    tues: salmon, sauteed zucchini
    weds: baked pasta with butternut squash and bacon
    thurs: burger night
    fri: hosting a holiday potluck…i plan on making buffalo chicken mac & cheese because everyone loves it, winter sangria, deviled eggs, and an antipasto salad. Yes, the menu is a little random…

    Monday: (Leftover) Salmon salad
    Tusday: Shitake mushroom risotto
    Wednesday: Dinner at church
    Thursday: Leftovers
    Friday: Red Curry Burgers with Boursin cheese [anyone else have good Boursin recipes?…have a lot of it from Costco!!]
    Saturday: Out

    Sun: cajun chicken pasta from PW
    Mon: Cookie Baking day — sausage & lentil soup in crockpot
    Tues: Chicken Divan
    Weds: Steak & potato bowls
    Thurs: on my own – sushi!
    Fri: Leftovers
    Sat: chicken goop – soft tacos.

    Love the inspiration I find on your site! My first time posting a menu, but have really loved seeing what everyone else is making…
    Sun: leftover potroast
    Mon: chicken tortilla soup (crockpot)
    Tues: breaded pork chops & some kind of veg
    Wed: Taco night (we make our own corn tortillas – the kids love to help with this!)
    Thurs: out or leftovers
    Fri: pizza & salad
    Sat: Risotto
    Sun: out or leftovers

    *sigh*, it’s been a while since I made and/or stuck to a menu. My budget certainly reflects my lack of planning! Hopefully I’m back on track now.

    Sun. Chicken Stew
    Mon. Ham w/mashed potatoes and green beans
    Tues. Trader Joe’s Mahi Mahi burgers and green salad
    Wed. Chicken Enchiladas
    Thurs. Pea Soup (w/leftover ham)
    Fri. TBD-daycare holiday party and in-laws coming to town
    Sat. ?

    Happy Birthday to your girls!

    Not feeling too inspired, but we’ll give some stuff a try

    M – pasta and garlic bread. We’re making chocolates dipped retzels and marzipan for some of our friends and church families we look after.
    T – curry and Japanese curry
    W – spinach and chicken enchiladas. My first attempt. Any tips? How do you freeze them?
    Th – Something else crockpot
    F – homemade pizza
    S – church Christmas party. Gotta figure out a sidedish that will fit turkey and a Japanese palate
    Sun – Daddy in charge.

    My daughter has FINALLY discovered the deliciousness that is mashed potatoes, so we’re having them quite a bit lately!

    Monday- Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas

    Tuesday- First ultrasound of our new little peanut so dinner may not happen at home!

    Wednesday- Leftovers, most likely! Mashed potatoes made in potato croquettes

    Thursday- Chicken salsa stew and Chicken Nachos

    Friday- Probably pizza

    Saturday- Big Family Christmas party!!

    Sunday- Holiday party with friends!

    • Mashed potatoes are my favorite! But sadly none of my children will eat them! I cannot figure it out. They will eat other mushy things like guacamole and hummus. I’ll never give up trying though. 🙂

      Allison, throw some cheese on the mashed potatoes. My kids would eat anything (including asparagus, brussels sprouts & broccoli) as long as it had cheese on it! 🙂

      my girls don’t really like mashed potatoes, either….it’s so strange, I couldn’t get enough of them when I was a kid (or now for that matter!)

    Sat – King Ranch Casserole from slow cooker

    Fri-Sun: Moving weekend, whatever we can grab on the go!

    Monday: Whole-wheat pasta in tomato primavera sauce
    Tuesday: Lemon rosemary salmon, asparagus, buttered rosemary rolls
    Wednesday: Out to dinner with friends
    Thursday: Going to a film screening–maybe will eat out, maybe pasta with jarred pesto
    Friday: Off to NYC for the weekend

    Sorry for being absent the last couple weeks – I have been exhausted… between my 3-year-old’s boundless energy and my 4-month-old refusing to sleep my ambition to cook has been lacking. I am making an effort this week to cook at home nearly every night, so here is my plan:
    Monday: Ham, apple and cheddar quiche
    Tuesday: Potato Soup
    Wednesday: Chicken Apple Sausage with a yet to be determined side… any suggestions?
    Thursday: Pizza
    Friday: out with friends

    Sunday: Herb Roasted Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans
    Monday: Breakfast for Dinner: Pancakes and sausage? (Hubby’s work party is today and their serving turkey, of course! Poor guy didn’t want turkey twice in the same day so leftovers are bumped to Tuesday)
    Tuesday: Leftover turkey.
    Wednesday: Hubby cooks. Spaghetti, garlic foccacia bread, salad
    Thursday: Hubby cooks. Turkey noodle soup in the crockpot, rolls
    Friday: Buffalo Chicken Pizza, salad
    Saturday: Chili?

    I have no clue what you’re making, but it looked like our pantry before this weekend! We made peppermint bark, chocolate truffles, cake balls and muddy buddy chex mix. it was a busy weekend!

    Mon – tonkatsu
    Tues – butternut squash lasagna roll ups (we have the puree leftover since Chris accidentally used our pureed pumpkin in last week’s ravioli instead – oops!)
    Wed – pad thai
    Thurs – huevos rancheros
    Fri – something from the freezer
    Sat – good question!

    Tuesday: meatloaf with potatoes (baked or mashed TBD) and green beans. Might throw in a pan of brownies as it’s my hubby’s only night off this week.

    Wednesday: oven roasted chicken with lemon & thyme, rice pilaf and left-over roasted vegetables

    Thursday: beef soup with veggies and potatoes

    Friday: leftovers!!

    Saturday: chicken meatballs with marinara over spaghetti

    Sunday: who knows?? possibly frozen pizzas.
