Week 324 Menu

We’re having a very lazy Sunday, complete with feathers all over the kitchen thanks to Anna’s hair accessory creation efforts.

Okay, I guess I’ll buckle down and plan a menu! Going to utilize some of my cookbooks this week!

MONDAY:
– Spaghetti Carbonara (recipe from Big Bowl of Love)
– Veggie and bread

TUESDAY:
– Chicken and Bok Choy Stir Fry (from Real Simple’s Easy, Delicious Meals)
– Rice and dumplings

WEDNESDAY:
Island Pork with Sticky Coconut Rice
– Green Veggie

THURSDAY:
– Leftovers

FRIDAY:
– Something simple like waffles

SATURDAY:
– Eat Out/Take Out

SUNDAY:
– White Chicken Chili (from America’s Test Kitchen Quick Family Cookbook)

    Love the hair accessories ”” super cute! After a week away, it was really difficult to plan this week’s menu but I needed to so I could make a store run.
    Sunday: Sausages, sweet potatoes and potatoes on the grill with balsamic glazed green beans.
    Monday: Buffalo chicken French bread with carrots and broccoli.
    Tuesday: Leftovers.
    Wednesday: First track meet of the season so an easy, prep-ahead, one-dish meal of baked ziti with summer veggies.
    Thursday: Mediterranean chicken with an orzo pasta salad.
    Friday: Chicken parm meatballs, salads.
    Saturday: Date night. Kids get pizza.

    I have been completely inspired and cooked all our meals for the week today as my son begins LaCrosse and I do not want to be eating out every day:
    Sunday Pizza
    Monday: Meat Loaf (Pioneer Woman recipe) / potatoes drizzled with olive oil and sea salt backed in the oven
    Tuesday: chicken quesidallas (Pioneer Woman recipe) / mexican rice
    Wednesday: Chicken ala King
    Thursday: Turkey Tacos
    Friday: Left Overs
    Saturday: Eat out

    Tuesday: (Crockpot Night) Pot roast
    Wednesday: Corning Game Hen, Stuffing
    Thursday: MLB

    Saturday: Fey’s in charge

    I hope I will be able to find the recipe for the fish tacos.

    S: TBD. I can never attest to my Saturday plans on the preceding Sunday. I barely have a grip on the rest of Sunday.

    We’re on a lazy Sunday (weekend, really) too! so nice to not have many plans.

    Well my kids are back to school tomorrow so it will be back to normal this week. As I type that I laugh to myself, we never seem to have a normal week!
    Sunday- this lower cal shrimp scampi and angle hair (it was so good)
    Monday- pork tenderloin (found a marinade) and potatoes, probably mashed strawberries
    Tuesday- meatballs and pasta
    Wednesday- sticky chicken thighs and jasmine rice (also found recipe on line)
    Thursday- leftovers, hopefully
    Friday- pizza night
    Saturday- crawfish pies from my freezer

    I don’t plan for a specific day, just plan meals and decide in the morning what I want to make. I work until 6pm, so what I cook has to be able to be baked or heated up when people get home.

    With that said, tomorrow night (Monday) we’ll be having Subway $5 foot longs because everything always happens on the same day. Son has track practice and Boy Scouts, DH has a dentist appt after work, DD and I are going to her honors convocation her university at 4pm.

    Soft tacos, Zataran’s Spanish rice, refried beans
    Texas Hash
    Chicken and Ravioli carbonara (new recipe)
    Ranch Cheddar chicken bake
    TOrtellini soup
    Crockpot Salisbury Steak

  14. Three dr/therapy appointments for Junior, a Stinker who’s just getting over a bug, plus soccer and gymnastics this week. I’m already tired 🙂

      hi sara! I have an answer for you…people have asked this before, so I actually have a post about it, however I never hit publish because my techy brother needs to fix something in the post that I can’t figure out…so, I’ll email it to you as soon as it’s up, although you’ll probably see it. stay tuned! 🙂

    My girls worked on the same hair accessories while I was making dinner! Love it!
    Here’s my week:
    Sunday – Taco night
    Monday – Salmon & Roasted Brussel Sprouts, quinoa
    Tuesday – Crockpot lentil & turkey sausage soup, french bread
    Wednesday – Make ahead crustless spinach, fruit salad, cut up veggies
    Thursday – Breakfast dinner (quiche doesn’t count for this in our house) – probably pancakes or waffles
    Friday – Kids at dinner & party at our pool club; date night for us!
    Saturday – Cheese fondue for dinner & we will melt down leftover easter candy to help make chocolate fondue for dinner

    Tuesday: Steak with chimichurri sauce, roasted potatoes, asparagus

    Wednesday: Hubby cooks. Stir fry, rice, egg rolls

    Thursday: Hubby cooks. Pork chops, stuffing, green beans

    Friday: I’m on a girls night. Hubby will pick up pizza or do a frozen lasagna

    Saturday: TBD. Chili, tacos? If it warms up,grill?

    I have a “loosely-put-together” menu this week. Won’t actually get to shop until Thursday morning due to work schedule.

    Sunday: Chinese Take-Out
    Monday: Bow tie pasta with basil/garlic sauce, big green salad
    Tues & Wed: Business Travel
    Thursday: Grilled Tuna Steak (or whatever fish looks best), broccoli, corn on the cob
    Friday: Orange chicken (I froze a bunch of this last week), brown rice, & green beans.
    Saturday: Not sure

    Friday- Homemade pizza…shrimp thai for me, bacon and cheese for kiddos and margerhita
    Saturday- Seafood Gumbo, rice and focaccia
    Sunday- Roast Beast with gravy, l/o rice, green beans and corn

    ~ I personally dont eat meat, do partake in shrimp, fish and most seafood. This menu is listing the meal that feeds the majority.
