It’s burger week at my house. Basically, it’s a cheap ploy to feature something on the blog (http://www.blogaldente.com) while reaching out to some more exotic flavors.
Sunday: Steaks (it’s Father’s day and I’m grilling for all of the females coming over…seems wrong)
Monday through Thursday: Burgers of different sorts
Friday: Take out. Perhaps a salad…
Saturday: Looks like The Wife has scheduled us for dinner with friends.
Sunday: Father’s Day dinner at friends’ house!
Monday: Chicken Enchiladas (GoodLife Eats)

Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (Smitten Kitchen)
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Saturday: Out.
I took last week off for cooking for clients, so I had fun just cooking for the family. This week will be another good day.
I hope to get some dishes from last week and ones from this week up on the blog – http://kitchenandkids.com
Sunday: Memaw’s Lasagna, Ceaser Salad, Garlic Bread and Blueberry Pudding Pie (This was so my husband did not have to worry about a thing, and he got one of his favorite entrees.)
Monday: Paradise Baked Chicken, Steamed Red Potatoes and Fresh Spinach
Tuesday: Asian Pork Chops, Sesame Asparagus and Pad Thai (Didn’t get around to making this last week.)
Wednesday: Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Fried Zucchini (I know – heart attack, but every once in awhile can’t hurt?)
Thursday: Chicken Pot Pie (Weight Watchers version – to counteract Wednesday’s dinner)
Friday: Leftovers
Saturday: Cobb Salad
sunday – pudge’s hoagies for fahter’s day!
monday- bbq chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn with salad

So many good options! I have the links for a few recipes on my blog http://notperfectplate.blogspot.com/
Sunday – Veggie Curry – use up anything in the fridge
Monday – pita bread pizzas & green salad – I have a meeting so it’s got to be fast and simple tonight
Tuesday – Mommy’s Night Out – Tapas restaurant for me, left over curry for the boys.
Wednesday – Steak Salad – a good steak over spinach and mixed greens with veggies and blue cheese dressing. It satisfies my husbands steak desire and keeps the calorie count down!
Thursday – Pasta Primavera from Moosewood sounds great – I’ll give it a try 🙂
Friday – Turkey Burgers A basic recipe… along with some sweet potato fries
Saturday – friends for a BBQ – they are vegetarian so I think I will take along this Edamame Salad because I have some great mint in my garden I’ve been wanting to include in some things 🙂
Well, today turned out to be a bust because I gave my husband food poisoning for breakfast! Ooops. But the plan so far is:
breakfast for dinner – maybe this goes to tomorrow since it doesn’t look like anyone’s really eating today.
And the only other thing on the menu this week:
Blue cheese and bacon burgers (neither one of us really like blue cheese, but something about the combo of this on a burger is so good)
Fried zucchini with lemon garlic aioli
These three options are so good, I don’t think it matters what else I make this week! 😉

I am going to try and work on cutting meat out of my diet, but not completely. This menu is liable for change, but isn’t it always?
shrimp scampi or Alfredo
turkey meatloaf and mashed potatoes
steak and deceptive mac n cheese (squash puree added)
quiche (still havent made it)
pizza (spinach, black olives, turkey sausage, carrots)
sweet potato pancakes and eggs
cheese manicotti
veggie burgers and potato salad at a friends house!
I can NOT get my 2 year old to eat any veggie other than lettuce with ranch, so I am pureeing veggies into our sauces for pizza and pastas and even mac n cheese.
I have also started buying vegetarian things for him such as “smart dogs” and veggie corn dogs and veggie burgers
that’s what we’ve done – it was surprisingly much easier to cut back on meat than I thought it would be. gooc luck!
oh – and as for your 2 year old – just do what you have to do!!! sometimes that is all you can do when parenting! 🙂

Thank you! I was wondering what I could use instead of red sauce for pizza. Do you add any salt and pepper to the garlic and olive oil?
I don’t know about HHRose, but when I’ve done olive oil on my crust instead of tomato sauce, I always sprinkle with some salt and pepper. if you have good toppings, these pizzas can be very delicious!
