Week 342 Menu

Greetings from Cape Cod! Nate’s family has been staying in Sandwich, MA every summer for the last 20 years, but this year they broke tradition and we are trying out life in Falmouth. The house is awesome and is right in town near the water. The Falmouth Road Race is also literally ending in our front yard this morning, so we have front row seats for all the fun! There are 12,800 runners in the race, plus all their friends and family! It’s astounding how many people are here and we are having a blast!

There is a company named Yasso at the race handing out samples of their frozen Greek yogurt bars. The bars are SO GOOD. Yasso is now available in grocery stores nationwide. You need to find them. Such a great healthy and delicious treat!

We haven’t planned the menu for the week yet, but we do know there will do a barbecue cookout one night and Asian Spinach Salad another night. Beyond that, who cares? We’re on vacation!

Even though I’m taking a break, I’m sure some of you are still on the ball! Please post your menu for the week!


  1. Not sure what the week will hold. A person that I worked with closely died over the weekend, which means a week with calling hours and funerals.

    The plan, however, includes burgers, garlic and rosemary pork tenderloin, tomatillo chicken quesadillas. Just no idea when it’s all going to happen.


    Enjoy the cape. Friends of ours just came home from there. Traffic was a bear and it took them 9 hours for what is normally a 5-hour trip.

    Sunday: Lasagna (my first time ever making one).
    Monday: Chicken and Dressing casserole (leftover from a crock pot dish. So good.)
    Tuesday: Chicken spaghetti
    Wednesday: Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs
    Thursday: Beef Biscuits (my grandmother’s recipe)
    Friday: Tamales and green chili
    Saturday: Dinner out

    Monday – Lamb biryani with leftover lamb and roasted squash

    Monday: Sweet potato shepard’s pie
    Tuesday: Chicken kebobs and CSA veggies
    Wednesday: Dry rub ribs in slow cooker and more CSA veggies
    Thursday: Chicken fried rice
    Friday: Leftovers
    Saturday: Out

    Thurs: Leftover Spicy DP Pulled Pork Sammies with Jalapeno Coleslaw, Chips, Assorted Pickles

    Fri: Out

    Sat: Cheese Stuffed Shells, Simple Spinach Salad

    Saturday- Orange Herb Roast chicken with salad and potatoes

  9. We are super excited to be eating a lot of produce out of our garden right now. Such success this year — we are seriously giddy over it.

    Sunday: BBQ Greek Turkey Burgers with Greek Yogurt Sauce and Pickled Onions
    Monday: Dungeness Crab Quiche (My husband filled our freezer with crab over the past few weeks, so we’re having it in a lot of things!), garden salad
    Tuesday: Bean and rice burritos with fresh salsa from our overflow of tomatoes in the garden. Yay!
    Wednesday: Leftovers
    Thursday: Big salads (again, yay garden!) with grilled chicken
    Friday: Pizza
    Saturday: Grilled Ginger-Soy-Lime Albacore Tuna Medallions, brown rice, and garden salad

    Enjoy Falmouth! That’s where my family’s house is too (in the Heights area) and we go down as often as possible from Boston.

      the house we rented was in the heights area – we were right across the street from central park by the BBC – we loved the area, such fun! you SHOULD go down as often as possible!

    Friday-BLA’s (BLTs minus the tomatoes, with avocado instead), chips, fresh fruit
