Now that we’re back in San Diego, we once again receive our friend Nikki’s annual Christmas cookie box. It’s the BEST. Nate keeps telling her she should sell them for tons of money to rich ladies in Del Mar and La Jolla, but Nikki insists the hard work is only worth it for love, not money.
I live for those dipped pretzels.
Holiday-Birthday madness continues! We had a party yesterday and have more birthday celebrating this week. I think work might slow down this week and I can maybe breathe a bit. Knock on wood.

Turns out we have to buy a new car this week and unfortunately finances were already tight. Sooo we’re really trying not to eat out at all in the coming months. This will be tough. I hope we can manage it.

We’ve been away from this website for too long when I started a new school year back to teaching after a year and a half baby hiatus. It’s been such a rocky transition, but I want to be better at meal planning again for our own sakes!
