Week 38 Menu

I am feeling SO uninspired about this week’s menu. Nothing sounds good and I definitely don’t feel like cooking. Can you believe I’m already 31 weeks prego?!?! It is flying by so fast…I think the speed of this pregnancy is what’s making me tired! I definitely need a personal chef, and while we’re at it can you throw in a cleaning person, a stylist, a nanny…


I made this Martha Stewart Mac & Cheese recipe tonight since several of you recommended it. Delish! It made enough to feed my entire apartment complex, so half went in the freezer. Hopefully it freezes well. We shall see!

Please share your menus. And for those of you new to TWFD, I don’t care WHAT is on your menu – please share what you’re eating for dinner! Fancy, boring, easy, hard, WHATEVER. 🙂

MONDAY:
– Tortellini w/sausage & tomato sauce
– Yummy bread
– Salad

TUESDAY:
– Sloppy Joe (yes, straight out of the Manwich can…Nate’s not gonna be happy – sad, huh?)
– Carrots & dip
– Chips

WEDNESDAY:
Margherita Pizza
– Salad

THURSDAY:
Mac & Cheese
– Yummy bread
– Salad

FRIDAY:
– Friend Ellie’s 2nd Birthday Party!

SATURDAY:
– Leftovers

SUNDAY:
– Something Sundayish…I’ll decide later this week. My brain AND my belly are too tired right now.

    Creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese

    Tuesday:
    leftover creamy chicken noodle soup & crackers

    Wednesday:
    crockpot apricot chicken
    rice
    caramelized carrots

    Thursday:
    applesauce pancakes & scrambled eggs

    Friday:
    leftovers

    Saturday:
    Taco soup

    Sunday:
    crockpot thai pork roast
    rice
    sesame ginger snap peas (or something, forget their exact title)

    Hi Jane, I check out your blog daily to get ideas for our meals. Thanks for sharing your menu with us! Did you know we have something else in common besides just trying to feed our families…. I’m also 31 weeks pregnant! This is my second baby and it seems like it is taking FOREVER.
    I don’t have a menu prepared for this week… My sweet son has croup and I’ve been taking care of him and havn’t had a chance to sit down and make a menu. But, I’m thinking I will try that mac and cheese one night this week and every Sunday morning I make buttermilk pancakes and morning star sausage for breakfast.     I finally planned a week. A little late and not quite an everyday cooking week, but hey…

    Monday — Mushroom Bacon Farfalle
    Tuesday — Black Bean Soup, Tortillas
    Wednesday — Chicken Piccata, Orzo with peas, Baby Carrots
    Thursday — Leftovers or cereal
    Friday — Eat Out!
    Saturday — Chili Cook off
    Sunday — Orange Rolls (breakfast) and Omelets for dinner

    Sunday- Mini Meat Loaves, Mashed Potato, corn

    Monday-Pampere Chef Recipe: Whole wheat penne
    w/chicken sausage, peppers, onions and tomato, garden salad

    Tuesday, baked herb chicken brsts, rice, butternut squash

    Wednesday- Grilled Steak, baked potato, green beans

    Thursday- pasta, garlic bread, salad

    Friday- chinese food take out

    Saturday- going to a wedding

    I just found your post last week and I was so inspired, I made a similar post on my own blog! The reception I’ve received isn’t quite as welcoming as yours. I felt like most of my friends thought I was braggin on my menu so I’m not sure I’ll continue. I can just come visit yours though! So even though the week is 1/2 over, here’s my menu:

    Sunday- Frittata with sausage, mushrooms, peppers, cheese grits, biscuits and gravy

    Monday- Southwestern Turkey-Cheddar burgers w/grilled onions, mushroom risotto, oven grilled veggies

    Tuesday – Chicken pasta over romaine

    Wednesday – my wonderful mother is cooking Salmon in puff pastry

    Thursday – clean out the freezer – Chicken Enchilada casserole for me and Chicken Pot Pie

    Friday- turkey sandwiches with sliced apples and brie, roasted red pepper/tomato soup

    Saturday – take out

    Hi Jane! I work with your lovely Mom and love reading your blog … have just started printing recipes to try. I love to cook although I’m not so good about doing it all the time. I also have a little 2 year old girl named Grace and a husband to feed – fortunately they’ll eat pretty much anything!

    Here is my menu for this week:

    Monday – leftover stuffed green peppers from Saturday

    Tuesday – ‘Bistro’ chicken
    White rice, tossed salad

    (Bistro Chicken easy recipe … chicken breasts browned in a skillet, remove & cook 1/2 c chopped onions 5 min, add 1 14oz can diced tomatoes, italian seasoning, 1 can of Campbell’s french onion soup, cook that together to reduce liquid 5 min, pour sauce over chicken in a casserole dish, add swiss cheese on top & bake for 20 min!)

    Weds – chili (frozen from a weekend cooking), Jiffy corn bread

    Thurs – take out

    Friday – tacos

    Saturday – I’m going to attempt a recipe for potato leek soup in the crock pot

    Sunday – pot roast, baked potatoes, asparagus
